أكد رئيس نادي لانس الفرنسي جوزيف أوجورليان أن ناديه فعّل رسمياً بند التعاقد مع النجم السعودي سعود عبد الحميد بشكل نهائي من نادي روما الإيطالي.
وقال أوجورليان في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ»: «لقد فعّلنا خيار ضم سعود عبد الحميد، ولم يقم نادي روما بأي رد مضاد، نحن نحب هذا اللاعب».
وأضاف: «الأمر أصبح رسمياً الآن، نحن سعداء للغاية، ولا يسعنا الانتظار لمشاركته معنا في دوري أبطال أوروبا الموسم المقبل».
وكان سعود عبد الحميد قد انضم إلى لانس خلال فترة الانتقالات الشتوية الماضية قادماً من روما لمدة موسم على سبيل الإعارة مع أحقية الشراء.

ومنذ انضمامه إلى لانس، خاض النجم السعودي 31 مباراة في مختلف المسابقات، سجل خلالها ثلاثة أهداف وقدم ثماني تمريرات حاسمة.

وساهم سعود عبد الحميد في حجز لانس مقعداً في بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا الموسم المقبل، بعدما احتل الفريق المركز الثاني في جدول ترتيب الدوري الفرنسي برصيد 70 نقطة، متأخراً بسبع نقاط عن حامل اللقب باريس سان جيرمان.
كما حقق سعود عبد الحميد لقبه الأول في مشواره الأوروبي، بعدما تُوِّج مع لانس بكأس فرنسا على حساب نيس بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف، الجمعة الماضي.
The president of French club Lens, Joseph Ougourlian, confirmed that his club has officially activated the contract clause to permanently sign Saudi star Saud Abdulhamid from Italian club Roma.
Ougourlian said in a special statement to "Okaz": "we have activated the option to sign Saud Abdulhamid, and Roma has not made any counter-response; we love this player."
He added: "The matter is now official; we are extremely happy, and we can't wait to have him join us in the Champions League next season."
Saud Abdulhamid had joined Lens during the last winter transfer window on loan from Roma for one season with an option to buy.

Since joining Lens, the Saudi star has played 31 matches in various competitions, scoring three goals and providing eight assists.
A Historic Season
Saud Abdulhamid contributed to securing Lens a spot in next season's Champions League after the team finished second in the French league standings with 70 points, seven points behind defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.
He also achieved his first title in his European career after winning the Coupe de France with Lens against Nice, with a score of three goals to one last Friday.
