استهدفت 3,445 حملة رقابية قادها برنامج مكافحة التستر في مايو الماضي كشف حالات الاشتباه، وضبط المتسترين، والتحقّق من امتثال المنشآت التجارية. وشملت الجولات متاجر البيع بالتجزئة للحوم والدواجن المجمدة، البيع بالجملة والتجزئة لقطع الغيار الجديدة وزينة وصيانة السيارات، والإنشاءات العامة للمباني السكنية، والنقل البري للبضائع، والتموينات. وضبطت الحملات 135 حالة اشتباه أولية بالتستر، وأحيل المخالفون إلى الجهات المختصة للتحقق وتطبيق العقوبات الرادعة بحقهم. وتشمل عقوبات نظام مكافحة التستر السجن مدةً تصل إلى 5 سنوات، وغرامة مالية تصل إلى 5 ملايين ريال، وحجز ومصادرة الأموال غير المشروعة بعد صدور أحكام قضائية نهائية ضد المتورطين، إضافة إلى العقوبات التبعية المقررة نظاماً، إغلاق المنشأة، وتصفية النشاط، وشطب السجل التجاري، والمنع من مزاولة النشاط التجاري، واستيفاء الزكاة والرسوم والضرائب، والتشهير، وإبعاد المُتستَّر عليهم عن المملكة وعدم السماح لهم بالعودة إليها للعمل. A total of 3,445 inspection campaigns led by the Anti-Cover-up Program in May aimed to uncover suspected cases, apprehend those involved in cover-up activities, and verify the compliance of commercial establishments. The inspections included retail stores for frozen meat and poultry, wholesale and retail for new spare parts and car accessories and maintenance, general construction of residential buildings, land transportation of goods, and catering services. The campaigns identified 135 initial suspected cases of cover-up, and the violators were referred to the relevant authorities for verification and the application of deterrent penalties against them. The penalties under the Anti-Cover-up Law include imprisonment for up to 5 years, a financial fine of up to 5 million riyals, and the seizure and confiscation of illegal funds after final court rulings against those involved, in addition to the legally prescribed ancillary penalties, closure of the establishment, liquidation of the business, cancellation of the commercial registration, prohibition from engaging in commercial activities, settlement of zakat, fees, and taxes, publicizing the violations, and deporting those involved in cover-up activities from the Kingdom and preventing them from returning to work there.
