لم تكن تتوقع أن يتحول زواجها، الذي بدأ بوعود الاستقرار والحياة المشتركة، إلى ملف مفتوح أمام الشرطة. بين شعر مستعار، وشهادات دراسية مشكوك فيها، وادعاءات بالاعتداء، فجّرت امرأة هندية قضية أثارت جدلاً واسعاً حول حدود الخداع داخل مؤسسة الزواج.
وعود قبل الزواج
تقدّمت لافيكا غوبتا ببلاغ رسمي تتهم فيه زوجها سانْيام جاين وأربعة من أفراد عائلته بتضليلها المتعمّد بشأن تفاصيل جوهرية دفعتها إلى الموافقة على الزواج، الذي تم في 16 يناير 2024، وفق محضر الشرطة المسجل في مركز بيسراخ.
وأوضحت الزوجة أنها أُبلغت قبل الزواج بأن العريس يتمتع بشعر كثيف ومظهر لائق، لكنها فوجئت لاحقاً بأنه أصلع ويعتمد على شعر مستعار لإخفاء ذلك، معتبرة أن الأمر أُخفي عنها عمداً وشكّل خداعاً مقصوداً.
اتهامات تتجاوز الشكل الخارجي
لم تتوقف الشكوى عند المظهر، إذ ذكرت غوبتا أن زوجها قدّم معلومات غير دقيقة حول مؤهلاته العلمية، بعدما ادعى حصوله على درجة البكالوريوس في التجارة، بينما تبيّن لاحقاً أنه لم يُكمل سوى المرحلة الثانوية. كما اتهمته بتضليلها بشأن دخله السنوي، الذي قال إنه يبلغ نحو 20 ألف دولار.
أذى نفسي وادعاء احتيال
وأكدت الزوجة في إفادتها أن سلسلة الأكاذيب التي اكتشفتها بعد الزواج تسببت لها بضرر نفسي بالغ، ووصفت ما حدث بأنه عملية احتيال مكتملة الأركان، قائلة إنها وقعت ضحية خداع جسيم أثّر على حياتها الشخصية.
مزاعم اعتداء وضغوط خطيرة
وتضمنت الشكوى اتهامات أكثر خطورة، إذ قالت غوبتا إن زوجها اعتدى عليها جسدياً خلال رحلة خارج الهند، كما حاول إجبارها على تهريب مادة الماريغوانا من تايلاند إلى الهند، وهو ما كان سيعرّضها لملاحقات قانونية قاسية.
الشرطة: التحقيق مستمر
من جهته، أكد مسؤول في الشرطة أن البلاغ يشمل مزاعم تتعلق بالخداع والاعتداء والإكراه، مشيراً إلى أن القضية لا تزال قيد التحقيق، وأن الجهات المختصة تعمل على جمع الإفادات والتحقق من الوقائع.

ورغم أن تفاصيل إخفاء الصلع لفتت الانتباه وأثارت موجة تفاعل واسعة، شددت السلطات على أن التحقيق يركز على مجمل الاتهامات المرتبطة بالاحتيال وسوء المعاملة داخل إطار العلاقة الزوجية.

Lavika Gupta filed an official complaint accusing her husband, Sanyam Jain, and four of his family members of deliberately misleading her about essential details that led her to agree to the marriage, which took place on January 16, 2024, according to the police report registered at the Bisrakh station.
The wife clarified that she was informed before the marriage that the groom had thick hair and a decent appearance, but she was later surprised to find that he was bald and relied on a wig to conceal it, considering that this was deliberately hidden from her and constituted intentional deception.
Accusations Beyond Appearance
The complaint did not stop at appearance; Gupta mentioned that her husband provided inaccurate information about his academic qualifications, claiming to have obtained a bachelor's degree in commerce, while it later turned out that he had only completed high school. She also accused him of misleading her about his annual income, which he claimed was around $20,000.
Psychological Harm and Fraud Allegations
The wife confirmed in her statement that the series of lies she discovered after the marriage caused her severe psychological harm, describing what happened as a complete fraud, stating that she fell victim to significant deception that affected her personal life.
Assault Allegations and Serious Coercion
The complaint included more serious accusations, as Gupta stated that her husband physically assaulted her during a trip outside India and attempted to force her to smuggle marijuana from Thailand to India, which would have exposed her to severe legal repercussions.
Police: Investigation Ongoing
For its part, a police official confirmed that the complaint includes allegations related to deception, assault, and coercion, noting that the case is still under investigation and that the relevant authorities are working to gather testimonies and verify the facts.
A Controversial Case
Although the details of hiding baldness drew attention and sparked a wide wave of reactions, authorities emphasized that the investigation focuses on the overall allegations related to fraud and mistreatment within the framework of the marital relationship.
