رحَّبت رابطة العالم الإسلامي بإعلان بدء المرحلة الثانية من خطة السّلام الشاملة، وإعلان «مجلس السّلام»، وتشكيل اللجنة الوطنية الفلسطينية لإدارة قطاع غزَّة، مثمِّنة في هذا السياق جهود الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب لوقف الحرب على قطاع غزّة، والتزامه بانسحاب جيش حكومة الاحتلال، ومنع ضمِّ أيّ جزء من الضفة الغربية. وفي بيانٍ للأمانة العامة للرابطة، شدَّد الأمين العام رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين الشيخ الدكتور محمد عبدالكريم العيسى، على الضرورة المُلحّة للالتزام الكامل باستحقاقات هذه المرحلة، والتصدي بجديةٍ وحزم لأيّ انتهاكات تجاهها، ولا سيما ضمان الوصول الكافي للمساعدات الإنسانية التي تشتدّ الحاجة إليها في القطاع المنكوب، ودعم عودة السّلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية لتولي مسؤولياتها في قطاع غزة، تمهيدًا لإنهاء دوّامة العنف والحروب، وإرساء السَّلام الدائم الشَّامل والعادل، وفق القرارات الدولية ذات الصلة، و«إعلان نيويورك لحلِّ الدولتين». The Muslim World League welcomed the announcement of the start of the second phase of the comprehensive peace plan, and the announcement of the "Peace Council," as well as the formation of the Palestinian National Committee to manage the Gaza Strip. In this context, it appreciated the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump to stop the war on the Gaza Strip, his commitment to the withdrawal of the occupying army, and to prevent the annexation of any part of the West Bank. In a statement from the League's General Secretariat, the Secretary-General and Head of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, emphasized the urgent necessity for full commitment to the requirements of this phase, and to seriously and firmly address any violations against it, particularly ensuring adequate access to humanitarian aid that is critically needed in the afflicted sector, and supporting the return of the Palestinian National Authority to assume its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, paving the way for ending the cycle of violence and wars, and establishing lasting, comprehensive, and just peace, in accordance with relevant international resolutions and the "New York Declaration for a Two-State Solution."
