أعلنت وزارة الدفاع السورية اليوم (الأحد) وقف إطلاق النار على الجبهات كافة، والإيقاف الشامل للأعمال القتالية في مختلف مناطق الاشتباكات. وقالت الوزارة في بيان: «بناءً على الاتفاق الذي عقده الرئيس الشرع مع قوات سورية الديموقراطية نعلن وقف إطلاق النار على كافة الجبهات، والإيقاف الشامل للأعمال القتالية في مختلف مناطق الاشتباك، تمهيداً لفتح ممرات آمنة لعودة الأهالي، وإعادة مؤسسات الدولة لممارسة مهامها في خدمة المواطنين». وأضافت: «نوصي رجال الجيش العربي السوري بأن يكونوا على قدر عالٍ من الثقة والمسؤولية في حماية المواطنين وصون ممتلكاتهم، والحفاظ على الأمن والاستقرار». بالمقابل، أشادت الولايات المتحدة بالحكومة السورية وقوات سورية الديموقراطية لجهودهما البناءة في التوصل إلى اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار اليوم، ما يمهد الطريق لحوار وتعاون متجددين نحو سورية موحدة. وكتب المبعوث الأمريكي إلى سورية توم باراك على حسابه في «إكس»: «اجتمع زعيمان سوريان عظيمان، مدفوعان برؤية مشتركة لتحرير بلادهما وشعبهما من الظلم، لرسم مستقبل أفضل لجميع السوريين». وأضاف: «يُمثل هذا الاتفاق ووقف إطلاق النار نقطة تحول محورية، حيث يتبنى الخصمان السابقان الشراكة بدلاً من الانقسام»، موضحاً أن «الرئيس الشرع أكد أن الأكراد جزء لا يتجزأ من سورية، وتتطلع الولايات المتحدة إلى الاندماج السلس لشريكنا التاريخي في الحرب ضد داعش مع أحدث عضو في التحالف الدولي، بينما نمضي قدماً في المعركة المستمرة ضد الإرهاب». وأضاف: «يبدأ الآن العمل الشاق المتمثل في وضع اللمسات الأخيرة على تفاصيل اتفاقية التكامل الشاملة، والولايات المتحدة تقف بقوة خلف هذه العملية في كل مرحلة، ونحمي مصالحنا الأمنية الوطنية الحيوية في هزيمة فلول داعش الإرهابية، وندفع بخطة الرئيس دونالد ترمب الجريئة للسلام في الشرق الأوسط». وأشار إلى أن «الولايات المتحدة تشعر بتشجيع خاص إزاء هذا المسعى المستمر لمواجهة تهديدات داعش، الأمر الذي سيسهل اندماج شركائنا الأكراد على المدى الطويل بشكل كامل في سورية موحدة وشاملة تحمي مصالح وحقوق جميع مواطنيها، مع تعزيز الأهداف المشتركة للمصالحة والوحدة الوطنية من خلال دمج مسارات المصالح المتميزة في مسار واحد متماسك للمضي قدماً». The ministry stated in a statement: "Based on the agreement reached by President al-Shar' with the Syrian Democratic Forces, we announce a ceasefire on all fronts and a complete halt to hostilities in various areas of conflict, paving the way for the opening of safe corridors for the return of citizens and the restoration of state institutions to carry out their duties in serving the citizens." It added: "We advise the men of the Syrian Arab Army to maintain a high level of trust and responsibility in protecting citizens and safeguarding their property, and to uphold security and stability." In contrast, the United States praised the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces for their constructive efforts in reaching a ceasefire agreement today, paving the way for renewed dialogue and cooperation towards a unified Syria. U.S. envoy to Syria Tom Barak wrote on his account on "X": "Two great Syrian leaders, driven by a shared vision to free their country and people from injustice, have come together to chart a better future for all Syrians." He added: "This agreement and ceasefire represent a pivotal turning point, as the former adversaries embrace partnership instead of division," clarifying that "President al-Shar' confirmed that the Kurds are an integral part of Syria, and the United States looks forward to the seamless integration of our historical partner in the fight against ISIS with the newest member of the international coalition, as we move forward in the ongoing battle against terrorism." He further stated: "The hard work of finalizing the details of the comprehensive integration agreement now begins, and the United States stands firmly behind this process at every stage, protecting our vital national security interests in defeating the remnants of ISIS, and advancing President Donald Trump's bold plan for peace in the Middle East."
