في مشهد درامي صادم، أعلنت زعيمة المعارضة الفنزويلية، الحائزة على جائزة نوبل للسلام 2025، ماريا كورينا ماتشادو، أن القيادي البارز خوان بابلو جوانيبا، زعيم حزب «العدالة أولاً»، تعرض للاختطاف بعنف من قبل مجموعة مسلحة، بعد أقل من 12 ساعة فقط من إطلاق سراحه من السجن. وقالت ماتشادو في منشور على منصة «إكس» في ساعات الفجر الأولى، اليوم (الإثنين): «هذا الصباح تم اختطاف خوان بابلو جوانيبا في أوربانيثاثيون لوس تشوروس بكاراكاس، وصل رجال مسلحون بشدة، يرتدون ملابس مدنية، في 4 مركبات، وأخذوه بالقوة بعنف. نطالب بإطلاق سراحه فوراً». وأكد ابن جوانيبا، رامون جوانيبا، الرواية ذاتها، مشيراً إلى أن مجموعة تضم نحو 10 أشخاص غير محددي الهوية، مسلحين بشدة، اعترضوا والده وأرغموه على الصعود إلى المركبات. وطالب بـ«إثبات الحياة الفوري» و«مساءلة النظام عن أي ضرر يلحق بوالده». وكان خوان بابلو جوانيبا (61 عاماً)، أحد أبرز حلفاء ماريا كورينا ماتشادو، قد أُفرج عنه مساء الأحد، بعد احتجاز دام أكثر من 8 أشهر، إذ اعتُقل في 23 مايو 2025، قبل يومين فقط من الانتخابات الإقليمية والبرلمانية، بتهم تتعلق بـ«الإرهاب» و«الخيانة» و«التآمر للإجرام المنظم» والتي وصفها المعارضون بأنها ذات دوافع سياسية. وجاء إطلاق سراحه ضمن دفعة من إطلاق سراح معتقلين سياسيين بارزين، في سياق تغيرات سياسية كبيرة شهدتها فنزويلا بعد سقوط نظام نيكولاس مادورو والضغوط الدولية المتزايدة، بما في ذلك الدور الأمريكي النشط. وبعد ساعات قليلة من خروجه، ظهر جوانيبا في مقاطع فيديو وهو يتحدث إلى الصحفيين والمؤيدين، مطالباً بإطلاق سراح باقي السجناء السياسيين، ومؤكداً استمرار النضال من أجل ديمقراطية حقيقية. وفي وقت لاحق من يوم الإثنين، أصدر مكتب المدعي العام بياناً أكد فيه أن جوانيبا أُعيد احتجازه ووُضع تحت الإقامة الجبرية، مدعياً أنه «لم يلتزم بشروط الإفراج عنه». ولم يوضح البيان طبيعة الانتهاك المزعوم، ولم يعلق على الرواية التي تحدثت عن عملية اختطاف مسلحة. ووصفت ماتشادو الحادثة بأنها «عملية قمع سياسي جديدة» تهدف إلى إسكات الأصوات المعارضة حتى بعد الإفراج الرمزي. وطالبت بإثبات حياة جوانيبا فوراً وبإطلاق سراحه دون شروط، محملة المسؤولين أي ضرر يلحق به. من جانبه، وصف حزب «العدالة أولاً» الواقعة بأنها «عملية قمعية من بقايا الديكتاتورية»، مناشداً المجتمع الدولي التدخل الفوري لوقف حملة المطاردة والاضطهاد التي يتعرض لها رموز المعارضة. ويُعد جوانيبا من أبرز الوجوه في حزب «العدالة أولاً» ومن أقرب المقربين لماتشادو، التي حصلت على جائزة نوبل للسلام 2025 تقديراً لنضالها السلمي من أجل الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان في فنزويلا. Machado stated in a post on the "X" platform in the early hours of this morning (Monday): "This morning, Juan Pablo Guanipa was kidnapped in Urbanización Los Churros in Caracas. Heavily armed men, dressed in civilian clothes, arrived in 4 vehicles and forcibly took him away. We demand his immediate release." Guanipa's son, Ramón Guanipa, confirmed the same account, indicating that a group of about 10 unidentified individuals, heavily armed, intercepted his father and forced him into the vehicles. He demanded "immediate proof of life" and "accountability from the regime for any harm that comes to his father." Juan Pablo Guanipa (61 years old), one of María Corina Machado's most prominent allies, was released on Sunday evening after being detained for more than 8 months. He was arrested on May 23, 2025, just two days before the regional and parliamentary elections, on charges related to "terrorism," "treason," and "conspiracy for organized crime," which opponents described as politically motivated. His release was part of a batch of releases of prominent political prisoners amid significant political changes in Venezuela following the fall of Nicolás Maduro's regime and increasing international pressure, including an active American role. Just hours after his release, Guanipa appeared in videos speaking to journalists and supporters, calling for the release of the remaining political prisoners and affirming the continuation of the struggle for true democracy. Later on Monday, the Attorney General's office issued a statement confirming that Guanipa had been re-detained and placed under house arrest, claiming that he "did not comply with the conditions of his release." The statement did not clarify the nature of the alleged violation and did not comment on the account of the armed kidnapping. Machado described the incident as "a new act of political repression" aimed at silencing opposition voices even after symbolic releases. She demanded immediate proof of Guanipa's life and his unconditional release, holding the authorities responsible for any harm that comes to him. For its part, the "Justice First" party described the incident as "a repressive act from the remnants of the dictatorship," calling on the international community for immediate intervention to stop the campaign of persecution and oppression faced by opposition figures. Guanipa is considered one of the most prominent faces in the "Justice First" party and one of Machado's closest allies, who received the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of her peaceful struggle for democracy and human rights in Venezuela.
