كشفت وزارة الداخلية المصرية ملابسات واقعة أثارت صدمة وجدلاً واسعاً على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، بعد العثور على 4 أجنة بشرية و5 مشيمات داخل جوالين في صندوق قمامة بإحدى قرى مركز المنيا.
وأوضح بيان صادر عن قطاع الأمن العام أن مركز شرطة المنيا تلقى بلاغاً يوم السبت 14 فبراير بالعثور على الجوالين في صندوق قمامة بإحدى القرى التابعة لدائرة المركز، وأنه بإجراء التحريات والفحص الفني والمعاينة، تم التوصل إلى مرتكب الواقعة وهو عامل مقيم بالقرية نفسها.
واعترف العامل، خلال التحقيقات، بأنه تلقى الجوالين من رئيسه في العمل الذي طلب منه دفنهما بناءً على طلب أرملة استشاري أمراض نساء وتوليد (حالياً بالمعاش).
وبمواجهة الأرملة، أقرت بصحة الواقعة، موضحة أنها عثرت على الأجنة داخل عيادة زوجها المتوفى في 23 يناير، وأن الزوج الراحل كان يحتفظ بها لأغراض البحث الطبي العلمي، نظراً إلى أنها أجنة مشوهة.
وكشفت أرملة الطبيب الراحل أنه عند إخلاء العيادة بعد انتهاء عقد الإيجار، سلمت الأجنة إلى أحد معارفها من سكان القرية لدفنها بشكل لائق، إلا أن هذا الشخص أعطاها بدوره للعامل، الذي قام بالتخلص منها بإلقائها في صندوق القمامة بدلاً من الدفن السليم.
وأكدت الوزارة أن جميع الأطراف المتورطة (الأرملة، والوسيط، والعامل) تمت إحالتهم إلى النيابة العامة لمباشرة التحقيقات، بهدف الوقوف على كافة التفاصيل المتعلقة بظروف حفظ هذه الأجنة، وطريقة التخلص منها بالمخالفة للقانون، وتحديد ما إذا كانت هناك مخالفات إجرائية أو قانونية أخرى في حفظ النفايات الطبية أو التعامل معها.
وأثارت الصور والفيديوهات المتداولة للجوالين والمحتويات صدمة كبيرة بين المواطنين، خصوصاً في ظل انتشارها السريع على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، ما أدى إلى انتشار شائعات أولية عن وجود جريمة إجهاض جماعي أو نشاط إجرامي حديث مرتبط بالاتجار بالأعضاء أو الإجهاض غير القانوني.
يُذكر أن القانون المصري ينظم بدقة التعامل مع النفايات الطبية والأجنة المجهضة أو المشوهة، ويفرض عقوبات على المخالفات في حفظها أو التخلص منها بطرق غير آمنة أو غير قانونية.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of an incident that caused shock and widespread controversy on social media, after the discovery of 4 human embryos and 5 placentas inside two bags in a garbage bin in one of the villages of Minya Center.
A statement issued by the Public Security Sector indicated that the Minya Police Station received a report on Saturday, February 14, about the discovery of the bags in a garbage bin in one of the villages under the jurisdiction of the center. Following investigations, technical examination, and inspection, the perpetrator was identified as a worker residing in the same village.
During the investigations, the worker confessed that he received the bags from his employer, who asked him to bury them at the request of the widow of a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology (currently retired).
When confronted, the widow confirmed the validity of the incident, explaining that she found the embryos in her late husband's clinic on January 23, and that her deceased husband had kept them for scientific medical research purposes, as they were deformed embryos.
The widow of the late doctor revealed that when clearing the clinic after the lease ended, she handed the embryos to an acquaintance from the village for proper burial. However, this person in turn gave them to the worker, who disposed of them by throwing them in the garbage bin instead of burying them properly.
The ministry confirmed that all parties involved (the widow, the intermediary, and the worker) have been referred to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations, aiming to uncover all details related to the circumstances of storing these embryos and the method of disposing of them in violation of the law, and to determine whether there were any other procedural or legal violations in the handling of medical waste.
The circulated images and videos of the bags and their contents caused great shock among citizens, especially given their rapid spread on social media, leading to initial rumors of a mass abortion crime or recent criminal activity related to organ trafficking or illegal abortion.
It is worth noting that Egyptian law strictly regulates the handling of medical waste and aborted or deformed embryos, imposing penalties for violations in their storage or disposal in unsafe or illegal ways.
