في واقعة هزت قرية حصة شبشير بمركز طنطا في محافظة الغربية المصرية، تحولت فرحة انطلاق دورة رمضانية لكرة القدم إلى مأساة بعدما قُتل شاب يبلغ من العمر 35 عامًا إثر طعنة بسلاح أبيض، خلال مشاجرة اندلعت بين المتفرجين بسبب تشجيع الفرق المشاركة. تلقت الشرطة المصرية بلاغًا عن مشاجرة عنيفة أثناء إقامة الدورة، أسفرت عن إصابة الشاب «م. ل» بجروح قاتلة، أدت إلى وفاته على الفور، وسط صدمة كبيرة في القرية وسكان المنطقة. وانتقلت على الفور قوات الأمن والمباحث الجنائية وشرطة النجدة والإسعاف إلى موقع الحادثة، حيث تم ضبط جميع المتورطين ونقل الجثة إلى مشرحة المستشفى الجامعي بطنطا. كما بدأت الأجهزة تحقيقاتها، شملت استجواب شهود العيان وندب الطب الشرعي لتحديد سبب الوفاة بدقة. ونتيجة لهذه الجريمة، قررت السلطات إلغاء الدورة الرمضانية بالكامل، كإجراء احترازي لحماية السلم الأهلي ومنع أي مواجهات جديدة بين الأهالي. وتحولت الاحتفالية الرمضانية التي كان من المفترض أن تجمع الأهالي حول الرياضة والتسلية إلى درس صادم حول أهمية ضبط الأمن أثناء الفعاليات الرياضية، وإبراز المخاطر التي قد تنتج عن النزاعات البسيطة عند اندفاع الحماس الرياضي. In an incident that shook the village of Hissa Shabshir in the Tanta district of Egypt's Gharbia Governorate, the joy of launching a Ramadan football tournament turned into a tragedy after a 35-year-old man was killed by a stab wound from a sharp weapon during a brawl that broke out among spectators due to cheering for the participating teams. The Egyptian police received a report about a violent altercation during the tournament, which resulted in the young man "M. L" sustaining fatal injuries that led to his immediate death, causing great shock in the village and among the local residents. Security forces, criminal investigations, emergency police, and ambulance services immediately rushed to the scene of the incident, where all those involved were apprehended and the body was transferred to the morgue of Tanta University Hospital. The authorities also began their investigations, which included questioning eyewitnesses and appointing forensic experts to accurately determine the cause of death. As a result of this crime, the authorities decided to cancel the entire Ramadan tournament as a precautionary measure to protect public order and prevent any new confrontations among the residents.
