تصاعدت القضية العنصرية في الأيام الثلاثة الماضية بشكل كبير عقب ما تعرض له اللاعب البرازيلي «فينيسيوس جونيور» خلال مواجهة فريقه ريال مدريد بنظيرة بنفيكا في دوري أبطال أوروبا التي أقيمت في لشبونة، إذ أصدرت الحكومة البرازيلية بيانا بشأن واقعة العنصرية التي حدثت جاء فيه: «أعربت وزارة الرياضة ووزارة المساواة العرقية عن تضامنهما مع فينيسيوس وهو ضحية حلقة جديدة من العنصرية خلال مباراة دوري أبطال أوروبا». وأضاف البيان الذي بث عبر موقع التواصل الاجتماعي«x»: «من غير المقبول أن تحدث مظاهر عنصرية في البيئات الرياضية التي يجب أن تكون مساحات احترام وتعايش وتعزيز المساواة العرقية العنصرية انتهاك لحقوق الإنسان واعتداء على المبادئ الأساسية للرياضة العنصرية جريمة». وأوضح البيان الذي تم نشره على موقع «rt»: «أكدت الوزارتان أهمية تفعيل البروتوكول المناهض للعنصرية خلال المباراة، وأبرزتا فتح التحقيق الذي أعلنه الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم، وأن الحكومة البرازيلية ستقوم بمتابعة سير التحقيق عن كثب مع توقع اتخاذ إجراءات حازمة لمحاسبة المتورطين ومنع وقوع أحداث مماثلة في المستقبل». وشددت الحكومة البرازيلية على التزامها بتعزيز المساواة العرقية والاحترام والكرامة الإنسانية داخل وخارج الملاعب، مثل هذه الحوادث تبرز أن مواجهة العنصرية يجب أن تكون مستمرة وجماعية، هنا نحن نعتبرها جريمة ولن نتسامح أبدا، هذه ليست معركة فردية بل معركتنا جميعا ستقدم الحكومة دعما كاملا لفينيسيوس لضمان رياضة عادلة وشاملة وخالية من التمييز. Racism is a violation of human rights and an assault on the fundamental principles of sport; racism is a crime." Furthermore, the statement published on the "rt" website clarified: "The two ministries emphasized the importance of activating the anti-racism protocol during the match and highlighted the opening of an investigation announced by UEFA. The Brazilian government will closely monitor the progress of the investigation, expecting decisive actions to hold those involved accountable and to prevent similar incidents in the future."
