أبلغ مبعوث الرئيس الأمريكي توماس باراك، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية فؤاد حسين، الرؤية الأمريكية بشأن تشكيل الحكومة العراقية، خلال لقاء عقد في بغداد اليوم (الإثنين). وتطرق اللقاء بإسهاب إلى هذا الملف واستعرض وجهات النظر ذات الصلة، فيما أكد حسين أن تشكيل الحكومة «مسألة داخلية»، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار آراء الشركاء الدوليين، ولا سيما الولايات المتحدة كونها دولة حليفة. وذكرت وزارة الخارجية العراقية في بيان أن اللقاء تناول كذلك العلاقات الثنائية بين العراق وأمريكا، وسبل تعزيز التنسيق والتعاون المشترك، لا سيما في مجال مكافحة الإرهاب. وأعرب الجانب الأمريكي عن تقديره لخطوة الحكومة العراقية بنقل عناصر تنظيم «داعش» من مراكز الاحتجاز في الخارج إلى السجون العراقية، في إطار تعزيز سيادة العراق وتحمل مسؤولياته القانونية، فيما أكد حسين استمرار التواصل مع عدد من الدول لنقل مواطنيها المتورطين في قضايا الإرهاب إلى بلدانهم الأصلية، مثمّناً موافقة الحكومة التركية على استلام حاملي جنسيتها من هؤلاء العناصر. وبحث الجانبان الاتفاق المبرم بين قوات سوريا الديمقراطية «قسد» والحكومة الانتقالية في سورية، مؤكدين دعمهما للاتفاق وضرورة الالتزام بتنفيذه لما له من أثر في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار. وتطرق اللقاء أيضاً إلى العلاقات الإيرانية – الأمريكية ومسار المفاوضات الجارية بين الجانبين، إذ حذر حسين من خطورة اندلاع أي حرب محتملة وانعكاساتها على المنطقة، مشدداً على دعم العراق للمسار السلمي وتأييده للجولة التفاوضية القادمة المزمع عقدها في جنيف بوساطة عُمانية. وشدد وزير الخارجية على أهمية استمرار التواصل والتنسيق خلال المرحلة القادمة إلى حين استكمال عملية تشكيل الحكومة العراقية. ووصل باراك مساء أمس (الأحد)، إلى العاصمة بغداد، وبدأ جدوله بلقاء السوداني بشكل مباشر، في ظل تصعيد كبير تشهده المنطقة، وخصوصاً التهديدات الامريكية بضرب إيران. وقال باراك، في تدوينة له على منصة إكس: «بحثت مع رئيس الوزراء العراقي، أهداف بناء مستقبل يتماشى مع خطة الرئيس ترمب للسلام في المنطقة». وأخبر توم براك، السوداني، بأن «وجود قيادة فعالة تتبنى سياسات تعزيز الاستقرار في العراق وشعبه أمر أساسي لتحقيق الأهداف المشتركة». وبحث السوداني أمس، مع باراك، العلاقات الثنائية بين العراق والولايات المتحدة، والأوضاع العامة في المنطقة، وما يبذله العراق لدعم الاستقرار الإقليمي، واستقرار سورية على وجه الخصوص. وشهد اللقاء عرض وجهات النظر المتبادلة لمنع التصعيد الإقليمي، وأهمية اللجوء إلى الحواروالمسارات الدبلوماسية لحل النزاعات، بالإضافة إلى البحث في فرص التعاون الاقتصادي ودعم التنمية الشاملة المعززة للاستقرار على المدى الطويل. وشدد السوداني، على ضرورة معالجة المشكلات العميقة بوضع معالجات جذرية لأسبابها، ومنع العدوان والتجاوز على سيادة البلدان والشعوب في المنطقة. The U.S. President's envoy, Thomas Barak, informed Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein of the American vision regarding the formation of the Iraqi government during a meeting held in Baghdad today (Monday). The meeting extensively addressed this file and reviewed the relevant viewpoints, while Hussein emphasized that the formation of the government is an "internal matter," taking into account the opinions of international partners, especially the United States as an allied country. The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the meeting also discussed the bilateral relations between Iraq and the U.S., and ways to enhance coordination and joint cooperation, particularly in the field of combating terrorism. The American side expressed its appreciation for the Iraqi government's step of transferring ISIS elements from detention centers abroad to Iraqi prisons, as part of strengthening Iraq's sovereignty and assuming its legal responsibilities, while Hussein confirmed the continued communication with several countries to transfer their citizens involved in terrorism cases back to their home countries, appreciating the Turkish government's agreement to receive its nationals among these elements. Both sides discussed the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the transitional government in Syria, affirming their support for the agreement and the necessity of adhering to its implementation due to its impact on enhancing security and stability. The meeting also touched on Iranian-American relations and the ongoing negotiations between the two sides, with Hussein warning of the dangers of any potential war and its repercussions on the region, stressing Iraq's support for the peaceful path and its backing for the upcoming round of negotiations scheduled to be held in Geneva under Omani mediation. The Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of continuing communication and coordination during the upcoming phase until the process of forming the Iraqi government is completed. Barak arrived in Baghdad yesterday evening (Sunday) and began his schedule with a direct meeting with Al-Sudani, amid significant escalation in the region, particularly the American threats to strike Iran. Barak stated in a post on X platform: "I discussed with the Iraqi Prime Minister the goals of building a future that aligns with President Trump's peace plan for the region." Tom Barak informed Al-Sudani that "having effective leadership that adopts policies to enhance stability in Iraq and its people is essential to achieving common goals." Al-Sudani discussed yesterday with Barak the bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, the general situation in the region, and what Iraq is doing to support regional stability, particularly the stability of Syria. The meeting witnessed an exchange of views to prevent regional escalation and the importance of resorting to dialogue and diplomatic paths to resolve conflicts, in addition to exploring opportunities for economic cooperation and supporting comprehensive development that enhances long-term stability. Al-Sudani stressed the necessity of addressing deep-rooted problems by implementing fundamental solutions to their causes and preventing aggression and violations of the sovereignty of countries and peoples in the region.
