عاودت الإصابة في العضلة الضامة للنجم الفرنسي كريم بنزيما بعد أن لازمته في فترات متقطعة ومتكررة إبان تمثيله لصفوف الاتحاد منذ انضمامه لدوري روشن موسم 2023 -2024 وذلك بحسب ما أعلنه المركز الإعلامي لنادي الهلال، موضحاً أن بنزيما لن يغادر مع بعثة الفريق الأزرق إلى القصيم، بسبب شعوره بألم في العضلة الضامة، وأن اللاعب سيجري أشعة للاطمئنان على موضع إصابته ومدى خطورتها.
وغيبت الإصابة بالعضلة الضامة النجم الفرنسي منذ سطوع نجمه في الملاعب الأوروبية، إذ غاب في موسم 2012 بسبب الإصابة نفسها لمدة 18 يوماً وفي موسم 2014 لمدة 5 أيام وغاب بنزيما متأثراً بالإصابة في العضلة الضامة موسم 2016 لمدة 29 يوماً وفي موسم 2021 لمدة 19 يوماً بحسب إحصائية نشرها أخصائي العلاج الطبيعي لإصابات العظام والمفاصل والعضلات ثامر الشهراني.
وفي دوري روشن غاب بنزيما عام 2023 لمدة 8 أيام بسبب إصابته في العضلة الخلفية وفي العام نفسه غيبته الإصابة لشعوره بالآم في الظهر لمدة 8 أيام مماثلة.
وعانى كريم بنزيما في موسم 2024 من الإجهاد العضلي وغاب عن الملاعب لفترات متقطعة وتكرر الأمر نفسه في موسم 2025 قبل أن تتجدد في موسم 2026 دون تحديد لمدة الغياب بانتظار نتائج الكشف والعلاج لتحديد مدة الغياب الرسمية.
