تُعدّ عادة «النقصة» من أبرز العادات الرمضانية في محافظة الجبيل، ولا تزال حاضرة بقوة حتى يومنا هذا، حيث تتبادل الأسر والعوائل والجيران في أول أيام الشهر الكريم الأطباق والهدايا تعبيرًا عن المحبة والألفة. وقد تطوّرت «النقصة» عبر السنين؛ فبعد أن كانت تقتصر على المأكولات والمشروبات الشعبية، أصبحت اليوم تشمل هدايا رمضانية متنوعة، تُعرض في المتاجر قبيل حلول الشهر المبارك، وبأسعار متفاوتة، في مشهد يعكس استمرار العادة بروح عصرية. ويقول المستشار السياحي محمد خليفة إن «النقصة»من أهم العادات الرمضانية في الجبيل، مشيرًا إلى أنها لا تزال حاضرة رغم تغيّر أشكالها، مؤكدًا أنها عادة جميلة نحرص عليها في بداية رمضان لما تحمله من معانٍ سامية تعزز المحبة والمودة بين الأسر والجيران. ويرى أن مسمّى «النقصة» قد يكون مرتبطًا بالفعل ذاته، وكأنها تعني: «نقصّتكم عندنا» أي نُشارككم مما لدينا، دون معرفة دقيقة بأصل التسمية في بقية المناطق. من جانبه، أوضح محمد الحمد أن تبادل الأطباق بين الجيران ينشط بشكل ملحوظ في رمضان، خاصة قبيل الإفطار، مؤكدًا أن هذه العادة لا تزال مستمرة بشكل شبه يومي بين الأسر، في صورة تعبّر عن روح التكافل الاجتماعي الذي يميز الشهر الفضيل. وتبقى «النقصة» في الجبيل أكثر من مجرد تبادل أطباق؛ فهي رسالة ودّ، وجسر تواصل، وملمح اجتماعي متجذر يعكس أصالة المجتمع وحرصه على ترسيخ قيم التراحم والتقارب في شهر الرحمة. Tourism consultant Mohammed Khalifa states that "Naqsa" is one of the most important Ramadan customs in Al-Jubail, noting that it remains present despite changes in its forms. He emphasizes that it is a beautiful tradition that we cherish at the beginning of Ramadan for the noble meanings it carries, which enhance love and affection among families and neighbors. He believes that the term "Naqsa" may be related to the very act itself, as if it means: "We have shared with you," indicating a willingness to share what we have, though there is no precise knowledge of the origin of the term in other regions. For his part, Mohammed Al-Hamd explained that the exchange of dishes among neighbors noticeably increases during Ramadan, especially before Iftar, affirming that this tradition continues almost daily among families, reflecting the spirit of social solidarity that characterizes the holy month. In Al-Jubail, "Naqsa" remains more than just an exchange of dishes; it is a message of friendship, a bridge of communication, and a deeply rooted social feature that reflects the authenticity of the community and its commitment to instilling values of compassion and closeness during the month of mercy.
