على رغم أن دول هذه المنطقة وشعوبها ظلوا يتلقون كل أنواع الإشارات، والتلويحات، والتهديدات من حرب بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، ولم يكن مفاجئاً بالنسبة إليهم اندلاعها صباح أمس (السبت)؛ فإن بدء الحرب لم يكن ليصدق أحد وقوعه بهذه السرعة.وقد سعى ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان الى طمأنة الدول الشقيقة، التي استهدفتها الصواريخ الإيرانية، بتضامن المملكة الكامل معها، في هذا الظرف العصيب. واتضح، بوقت لاحق، أن المملكة نفسها كانت هي الأخرى هدفاً للصواريخ الإيرانية، رغم تأكيداتها لطهران بأنها لن تسمح باستخدام أراضيها منطلقاً لأي هجوم يستهدف إيران. وهو تطور مؤسف ما كان يجب أن تتعرض له المملكة والدول الشقيقة في الخليج والعالم العربي. ولذلك حرص بيان سعودي على التشديد على أن المملكة تحتفظ لنفسها بكل الخيارات؛ ومن بينها خيار الذود عن أراضيها، والرد على الاعتداءات الغاشمة التي استهدفتها من قِبل إيران. إن الحرب في كل الحالات إجراء مؤسف، ومفعم بالمخاطر. ولا تقتصر مخاطرها على القتل، والتدمير؛ بل تشمل فتح بابٍ للغبن، قد يظل مفتوحاً على مدى أجيال. وظلت السعودية تسعى الى رُقيٍّ اقتصادي، وازدهار تجاري، ونجاح صناعي في كل المجالات. وأعلن ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان أن ذلك يلزمه استقرار أمني، واجتماعي، وسياسي ليتحقق، وتنتفع شعوب المنطقة بخيراته. وجاء بعد ذلك استخدام إيران أذرعها في المنطقة، كمليشيا الحوثي، التي حوّلت البحر الأحمر بحيرة من العنف والدم. وما لبث «حزب الله» الإيراني في لبنان أن حاول ممارسة النفوذ الإيراني، فتسبب ذلك في القضاء عليه وإضعافه. وهو عين ما حدث لمليشيا الحوثي، التي خسرت أطقمها القيادية، والأسلحة المخبأة في بطون الجبال. لقد التزمت المملكة ببنود الصلح الذي وقعته مع إيران بوساطة صينية. ولم تحاول إيران خرق ذلك العهد. غير أن تصرفها الأحمق ضد السعودية، وقطر، والكويت، والإمارات، والبحرين، والأردن غير مقبول مطلقاً. وسيكون له تأثيره من دون شك. لكن المملكة تحتفظ لنفسها بحق الرد، بما يحفظ سيادتها على أراضيها، وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين فيها. Despite the fact that the countries of this region and their peoples have been receiving all kinds of signals, hints, and threats of a war between the United States and Iran, it was not surprising for them that it broke out yesterday morning (Saturday); however, no one could have believed that the war would start so quickly. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sought to reassure the brotherly countries targeted by Iranian missiles, expressing the Kingdom's full solidarity with them in this difficult circumstance. It later became clear that the Kingdom itself was also a target of Iranian missiles, despite its assurances to Tehran that it would not allow its territory to be used as a launchpad for any attack targeting Iran. This unfortunate development should not have been faced by the Kingdom and the brotherly countries in the Gulf and the Arab world. Therefore, a Saudi statement emphasized that the Kingdom reserves all options for itself, including the option to defend its territory and respond to the brutal attacks it has faced from Iran. War, in any case, is an unfortunate measure, filled with risks. Its dangers are not limited to killing and destruction; they also include opening a door to grievances that may remain open for generations. Saudi Arabia has continued to strive for economic advancement, commercial prosperity, and industrial success in all fields. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced that this requires security, social, and political stability to be achieved, so that the peoples of the region can benefit from its resources. Following this, Iran used its arms in the region, such as the Houthi militia, which turned the Red Sea into a lake of violence and blood. The Iranian "Hezbollah" in Lebanon soon attempted to exert Iranian influence, which led to its eradication and weakening. The same happened to the Houthi militia, which lost its leadership teams and the weapons hidden in the mountains. The Kingdom has committed to the terms of the truce it signed with Iran under Chinese mediation. Iran has not attempted to breach that covenant. However, its foolish actions against Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, and Jordan are completely unacceptable. They will undoubtedly have their impact.
