نفت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية بشكل قاطع الادعاءات الإيرانية التي زعمت إغراق أو إصابة حاملة طائرات أمريكية في الخليج العربي، مؤكدة أن هذه الادعاءات «كذب» وجزء من «آلة التضليل» التابعة للنظام الإيراني. وذكرت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية، في بيان رسمي نشرته على منصة إكس، أنه لم تُصَب حاملة الطائرات يو إس إس أبراهام لينكولن، وأن الصواريخ التي أُطلقت لم تقترب حتى منها. وأوضحت أن حاملة لينكولن تواصل إقلاع طائراتها دعماً لحملة القيادة المركزية المتواصلة للدفاع عن الشعب الأمريكي وإزالة التهديدات من النظام الإيراني. وأكدت القيادة أن الحاملة الوحيدة التي تعرضت لضربة أمريكية هي «شهيد باقري»، وهي حاملة طائرات مسيّرة إيرانية تم تحويلها من ناقلة نفط. وأوضحت أن القوات الأمريكية استهدفتها خلال ساعات قليلة من بدء عملية «الغضب الملحمي»، التي انطلقت يوم السبت، وأن السفينة تعرضت لأضرار جسيمة أو غرقت في مياه الخليج - بحر عمان. وكان الحرس الثوري الإيراني قد أعلن سابقاً أن قواته استهدفت حاملة أبراهام لينكولن بـ4 صواريخ باليستية، مدعياً دخول «مرحلة جديدة» في الرد على الضربات الأمريكية-الإسرائيلية. إلا أن القيادة المركزية الأمريكية وصفت هذه الادعاءات بأنها «غير صحيحة تماماً»، مشيرة إلى أن الحاملة تواصل عملياتها الجوية بشكل طبيعي في دعم العمليات العسكرية الجارية. The U.S. Central Command categorically denied Iranian claims that an American aircraft carrier was sunk or damaged in the Arabian Gulf, asserting that these claims are "lies" and part of the Iranian regime's "disinformation machine." The U.S. Central Command stated in an official statement published on X platform that the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier was not harmed and that the missiles launched did not even come close to it. It clarified that the Lincoln carrier continues to launch its aircraft in support of Central Command's ongoing campaign to defend the American people and eliminate threats from the Iranian regime. The command confirmed that the only carrier that was struck by American forces is the "Shahid Bagheri," an Iranian drone carrier converted from an oil tanker. It explained that U.S. forces targeted it within hours of the start of Operation "Epic Fury," which began on Saturday, and that the ship sustained significant damage or sank in the waters of the Gulf - Sea of Oman. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard had previously announced that its forces targeted the Abraham Lincoln carrier with 4 ballistic missiles, claiming to have entered a "new phase" in response to American-Israeli strikes. However, the U.S. Central Command described these claims as "completely untrue," noting that the carrier continues its air operations normally in support of ongoing military operations.
