فيما تتفاقم الأزمة الإنسانية في لبنان، أعلنت منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسيف)، أن نحو 780 ألف شخص أُجبروا على الفرار من منازلهم، في وقت يواصل فيه جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي غاراته المكثفة على الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت ومناطق البقاع والجنوب.
وحذرت المنظمة الأممية من الكلفة الباهظة التي يدفعها المدنيون، كاشفة أن من بين النازحين نحو 200 ألف طفل ومراهق يعيشون ظروفا قاسية.
وأعرب المدير الإقليمي لليونيسيف في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، إدوارد بيجبيدر، عن صدمته من وتيرة استهداف المدنيين، مؤكدا أن «الأطفال يقتلون ويصابون بمعدل مروع».
وأضاف أن آلاف العائلات التي نزحت خوفا من جحيم القصف «تنام الآن في ملاجئ باردة ومكتظة»، مؤكدا أن هذه الأرقام تمثل «دليلا صارخا» على حجم المأساة التي تعصف بلبنان، الذي يواجه واحدة من أكبر موجات النزوح في تاريخه المعاصر.
ووفقا لبيانات وزارة الصحة اللبنانية، حصدت الحرب أرواح ما لا يقل عن 83 طفلا و42 امرأة من بين أكثر من 500 قتيل سقطوا منذ اندلاع المواجهة، بمعدل يصل إلى 100 قتيل يوميا.
وافترش نازحون من الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت ساحة الشهداء بالعاصمة اللبنانية وطرقات أخرى في ظروف صعبة بعد أن دفعت تهديدات الجيش الإسرائيلي السكان إلى الإخلاء.
وأمام ضخامة أعداد النازحين، تحولت المنشآت العامة في بيروت إلى مراكز إيواء طارئة تضم مئات العائلات.
ويواصل الجيش الإسرائيلي إصدار أوامر الإخلاء لسكان الضاحية ومساحات واسعة من الجنوب والبقاع، في إجراء يراه اللبنانيون وسيلة لتهجيرهم وتدمير قراهم ومدنهم واستخدامهم كورقة ضغط في الحرب من قبل إسرائيل، ما يضع البلاد أمام شبح أزمة إنسانية طويلة الأمد يظهر أنها قد تتجاوز في تداعياتها ما حدث في صراعات سابقة.
As the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon worsens, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced that around 780,000 people have been forced to flee their homes, while the Israeli occupation army continues its intensive airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut and the Bekaa and southern regions.

He added that thousands of families who fled in fear of the hell of bombardment "are now sleeping in cold and overcrowded shelters," emphasizing that these figures represent a "stark evidence" of the scale of the tragedy engulfing Lebanon, which is facing one of the largest waves of displacement in its contemporary history.
According to data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the war has claimed the lives of at least 83 children and 42 women among more than 500 fatalities since the outbreak of the confrontation, with a rate of up to 100 deaths daily.
Displaced individuals from the southern suburbs of Beirut have spread out in Martyrs' Square in the Lebanese capital and other roads under difficult conditions after threats from the Israeli army forced residents to evacuate.
In light of the massive numbers of displaced people, public facilities in Beirut have turned into emergency shelters housing hundreds of families.
The Israeli army continues to issue evacuation orders for residents of the suburbs and vast areas of the south and Bekaa, a measure that the Lebanese see as a means to displace them and destroy their villages and cities, using them as leverage in the war by Israel, which places the country on the brink of a long-term humanitarian crisis that appears to surpass the repercussions of previous conflicts.
