فيما تتواصل مساعي الوسطاء لعقد جولة محادثات بين واشنطن وطهران، كشفت مصادر أمريكية مطلعة أن الاتفاق المحتمل قد يستغرق وقتاً أطول. وأفصح مصدران مطلعان، اليوم السبت، أن البيت الأبيض أبلغ الحلفاء سراً بأن الأمر قد يستغرق وقتاً حتى تتوصل الولايات المتحدة إلى اتفاق مع إيران. وأضاف المصدران أن واشنطن تقدر أن يستمر النشاط العسكري للحرب لمدة أسبوعين إلى أربعة أسابيع أخرى، بحسب ما أوردت شبكة «سي بي إس نيوز». وذكرت المصادر أن نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس برز كلاعب محوري في الدبلوماسية مع إيران، مؤكدة أن المبعوثين ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر، مشاركان أيضاً في المسار الدبلوماسي. وكان وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو ألمح مساء أمس الجمعة إلى أن الحرب قد تستغرق من أسبوعين إلى 4 أسابيع. وأكد أن الولايات المتحدة «قادرة على تحقيق كل أهدافها من دون قوات برية». ولفت إلى أن إيران لم ترد بعد على خطة لإنهاء الحرب، لكنّها بعثت «رسائل» تظهر اهتمامها بالدبلوماسية. من جانبه، توقع ويتكوف إجراء محادثات محتملة مع الجانب الإيراني خلال الأسبوع الحالي. وقال في مؤتمر في ولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية، أمس، نعتقد أنه ستكون هناك اجتماعات هذا الأسبوع. إلا أنه لم يتضح بعد شكل المحادثات التي قد تتم، ولم يقدم ويتكوف أية تفاصيل. لكن مصادر أمريكية ذكرت أن واشنطن قدمت خطة لإنهاء الحرب تتضمن 15 بنداً أو شرطاً، بينها تخلي إيران عن السلاح النووي، والحد من برنامجها الصاروخي، فضلاً عن تسليم اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب إلى الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، ووقف دعم الفصائل المسلحة في المنطقة. ووصف مسؤول إيراني رفيع تلك الشروط بغير العادلة، وتحدث عن 5 شروط مقابلة تتمسك بها طهران، وفق ما نقلت وكالة تسنيم الإيرانية في وقت سابق. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio hinted last night, Friday, that the war could last from two to four weeks. He confirmed that the United States is "capable of achieving all its objectives without ground forces." He pointed out that Iran has not yet responded to a plan to end the war, but it has sent "messages" indicating its interest in diplomacy. For his part, Witkoff anticipated potential talks with the Iranian side during this week. He said at a conference in Florida yesterday that he believes there will be meetings this week. However, it remains unclear what form the talks may take, and Witkoff did not provide any details. However, American sources indicated that Washington has presented a plan to end the war that includes 15 items or conditions, including Iran's abandonment of nuclear weapons, limiting its missile program, as well as transferring highly enriched uranium to the International Atomic Energy Agency and stopping support for armed factions in the region.
