دشّن محافظ الطائف الأمير فواز بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز اليوم، فعاليات النسخة الثانية من الملتقى العالمي للورد والنباتات العطرية 2026، في مقر جامعة الطائف، بحضور عدد من المسؤولين والمختصين.
ويستمر الملتقى (11) يوماً، متضمناً برنامجاً علمياً ومعرفياً يشتمل على (15) جلسة حوارية و(80) فعالية متنوعة، تهدف إلى دعم وتطوير قطاع الزراعة والصناعات العطرية على المستويين المحلي والدولي.
وشهد حفل التدشين السلام الملكي، وتلاوة آيات من القرآن الكريم، تلت ذلك كلمة ممثل وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس هاني القاضي، كما تخلل الحفل عرض مرئي، وعرض استعراضي، واختُتم بتوقيع عدد من الاتفاقيات الداعمة للقطاع.
ويتضمن الملتقى عدداً من ورش العمل والجلسات المتخصصة التي تناقش أحدث التقنيات الزراعية والاقتصادية، من أبرزها تحسين الأصناف النباتية، وتقنيات الإكثار الحديثة، والحلول المبتكرة لإنتاج النباتات العطرية، إلى جانب موضوعات الاقتصاد الإبداعي والتجارة الدولية.
كما تتناول الجلسات مستقبل إنتاج الورد الطائفي باستخدام التقنيات الحديثة، وتأثير التغيرات المناخية.
The Governor of Taif, Prince Fawaz bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, today launched the second edition of the Global Forum for Roses and Aromatic Plants 2026, at the Taif University headquarters, in the presence of several officials and specialists.
The forum will last for (11) days, featuring a scientific and informational program that includes (15) discussion sessions and (80) diverse activities aimed at supporting and developing the agriculture and aromatic industries at both local and international levels.
The inauguration ceremony included the royal anthem, a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the representative of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Hani Al-Qadi. The event also featured a visual presentation, a performance, and concluded with the signing of several agreements supporting the sector.
The forum includes a number of workshops and specialized sessions that discuss the latest agricultural and economic technologies, notably improving plant varieties, modern propagation techniques, and innovative solutions for producing aromatic plants, in addition to topics on creative economy and international trade.
The sessions will also address the future of Taif rose production using modern technologies and the impact of climate change.
