حذّرت السلطات المحلية اليونانية اليوم، أنه من المتوقع أن يجتاح طقس خطير مختلف أنحاء اليونان خلال الساعات الـ48 القادمة، حيث وضعت العاصمة إرمينيو سبع مناطق في حالة تأهب قصوى.

وتضم المناطق المتضررة منطقة أتيكا بوسط اليونان، ومنطقة ثيساليا، بما في ذلك جزر سبوراديس، وشبه جزيرة بيلوبونيز، وجنوب بحر إيجه، والوحدات الإقليمية لمقاطعة إيماثيا، وإقليم بيريا في وسط مقدونيا.

ومن المتوقع سقوط أمطار غزيرة وهبوب عواصف رعدية بمختلف أنحاء البلاد اليوم (الأربعاء)، حيث من المتوقع أن تكون الظروف الجوية شديدة ومستمرة لفترة طويلة، ومن المتوقع هبوب عواصف بردية أيضًا.

وستبقى المدارس مغلقة في مجموعتي جزر دوديكانيز، وسيكلاديز، بينما ستعمل المدارس بشكل طبيعي في منطقة أتيكا بوسط اليونان، باستثناء للمدارس الليلية في منطقة أثينا الكبرى، التي سيتم إغلاقها لاحقًا.

The local Greek authorities warned today that severe weather is expected to sweep across various parts of Greece over the next 48 hours, with the capital Ermionis placing seven regions on high alert.

The affected areas include the Attica region in central Greece, the Thessaly region, including the Sporades Islands, the Peloponnese peninsula, the southern Aegean Sea, and the regional units of Imathia province and the Pieria region in central Macedonia.

Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected across the country today (Wednesday), with severe weather conditions anticipated to persist for an extended period, and hailstorms are also expected.

Schools will remain closed in the two groups of Dodecanese and Cyclades islands, while schools will operate normally in the Attica region of central Greece, except for night schools in the greater Athens area, which will be closed later.
