أدرجت السلطات الأرجنتينية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، الحرس الثوري الإيراني على قائمة «المنظمة الإرهابية»، في إجراء يتزامن مع دخول الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية مع إيران شهرها الثاني.
وعزت الأرجنتين في بيان لمكتب الرئيس خافيير ميلي، هذا الإجراء إلى دعم الحرس الثوري جماعة حزب الله اللبنانية لتنفيذ اثنتين من أخطر الهجمات الإرهابية في تاريخها خلال تسعينيات القرن الماضي.
ولفتت الرئاسة إلى أنه في يوم 17 مارس 1992، دمر انفجار سيارة مفخخة سفارة إسرائيل في بوينس آيرس، ما أسفر عن مقتل 29 شخصاً وإصابة أكثر من 200.
وأضافت أنه «بعد عامين، وفي يوم 18 يوليو 1994، دمر هجوم ثانٍ مقر الجمعية الأرجنتينية الإسرائيلية المشتركة، مما أسفر عن مقتل 85 شخصاً وإصابة أكثر من 300»، واصفة ذلك بأنه «أسوأ هجوم إرهابي» على الأراضي الأرجنتينية.
وأظهرت التحقيقات القضائية والاستخبارية أن الهجومين تم التخطيط لهما وتمويلهما وتنفيذهما بمشاركة مباشرة من مسؤولين رفيعي المستوى في النظام الإيراني وأفراد من الحرس الثوري.
وأكد بيان الرئاسة أنه نتيجة لذلك، أمرت الحكومة الأرجنتينية بإدراج الحرس الثوري الإيراني في السجل العام للأشخاص والكيانات المرتبطة بأعمال الإرهاب وتمويله.
ولفتت إلى أن هذا القرار، الذي اتُّخذ بالتنسيق بين وزارة الخارجية ووزارة الأمن القومي ووزارة العدل وأمانة المخابرات الحكومية، استند إلى تقارير رسمية تُثبت أنشطة غير مشروعة عابرة للحدود، بما في ذلك أعمال إرهابية على الأراضي الأرجنتينية.
ووفقاً للرئاسة، يتيح إدراج الحرس في هذا السجل فرض عقوبات مالية وقيود تشغيلية تهدف إلى الحد من قدرته على العمل داخل البلاد، إضافة إلى حماية النظام المالي الأرجنتيني من الاستغلال لأغراض غير مشروعة.
وعبَّر الرئيس الأرجنتيني عن أمله في أن يسهم هذا القرار في تسوية دين تاريخي يعود إلى أكثر من 30 عاماً لعائلات الضحايا، مؤكداً التزامه بمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة والإرهاب.
وقال إن حكومة بلاده عازمة على إعادة اصطفاف الأرجنتين مع الحضارة الغربية، مع إدانة ومواجهة كل من يسعى إلى تدميرها بشكل مباشر، وفق تعبيره.
The Argentine authorities have today (Wednesday) listed the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a "terrorist organization," in a move coinciding with the second month of the American-Israeli war with Iran.
Argentina attributed this action in a statement from President Javier Milei's office to the Revolutionary Guard's support for the Lebanese Hezbollah group in carrying out two of the deadliest terrorist attacks in its history during the 1990s.
The presidency noted that on March 17, 1992, a car bomb explosion destroyed the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, resulting in the deaths of 29 people and injuring more than 200.
It added that "two years later, on July 18, 1994, a second attack destroyed the headquarters of the Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association, killing 85 people and injuring more than 300," describing it as "the worst terrorist attack" on Argentine soil.
Judicial and intelligence investigations have shown that the two attacks were planned, financed, and executed with direct involvement from high-ranking officials in the Iranian regime and members of the Revolutionary Guard.
The presidential statement confirmed that as a result, the Argentine government ordered the inclusion of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in the public registry of individuals and entities linked to terrorism and its financing.
It pointed out that this decision, made in coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Security, the Ministry of Justice, and the Government Intelligence Secretariat, was based on official reports proving illegal cross-border activities, including terrorist acts on Argentine territory.
According to the presidency, including the Guard in this registry allows for the imposition of financial sanctions and operational restrictions aimed at limiting its ability to operate within the country, in addition to protecting the Argentine financial system from exploitation for illegal purposes.
The Argentine president expressed hope that this decision would contribute to settling a historical debt of over 30 years owed to the families of the victims, reaffirming his commitment to combating organized crime and terrorism.
He stated that his government is determined to realign Argentina with Western civilization, condemning and confronting anyone who seeks to destroy it directly, as he put it.
