عندما نتحدث عن فترة التوقف الدولية وكيف كانت مع منتخبنا الوطني نلاحظ أن نتائج المواجهات الودية الدولية جميعها «غير مجدية»، كذلك ليست «مفيدة فنيًا»، والسبب يعود إلى العمل الفني «المتخبط» الذي يقدمه المدير الفني الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد خلال المواجهات الودية وتخبطات تصريحاته الإعلامية، عبر المؤتمرات الصحفية.

رينارد الذي «لخبطت» إعداداته الفنية منذ فترة وهو يثبت يوما بعد يوم أنه الرجل غير المناسب لتولي دفة المنتخب السعودي خلال مونديال كأس العالم القادم، كون النتائج خلال البطولات الرسمية والودية غير مرضية للشارع الرياضي الذي يجمع حاليًا بأن قرار إقالته من منصبه أفضل قرار.
