قُتل طفلان وثلاث نساء على الأقل في هجوم انتحاري عند منزل في شمال غرب باكستان مساء أمس (الخميس)، بحسب ما أعلنت السلطات الباكستانية، اليوم (الجمعة).

ووقع الهجوم في بانو ولاية خيبر بختنوخوا المحاذية لمناطق قبلية كانت تحظى بحكم ذاتي.

وقال المسؤول المحلي في الشرطة محمد سجاد خان لوكالة فرانس برس: «يبدو أن الانتحاري كان ينوي استهداف مركز الشرطة، لكنه تسرّع وأصاب منزلاً مدنياً قبل الوصول» إلى المركز. وأضاف أن طفلين وثلاث نساء على الأقل قتلوا، فيما أصيب أربعة أشخاص بجروح. وأكد مساعد مفوض شرطة بانو حصيلة القتلى لفرانس برس.

وفيما لم تعلن أي جهة مسؤوليتها عن الهجوم، فإن حركة طالبان باكستان التي كثّفت هجماتها في البلاد منذ أن عادت حركة طالبان إلى السلطة في أفغانستان في العام 2021، تستهدف قوات الأمن في المنطقة بشكل دوري.

وتتّهم إسلام أباد أفغانستان المجاورة بتوفير ملاذ آمن للمقاتلين الذين يعدّون لشن هجمات على باكستان، وهي تهمة ترفضها حكومة طالبان.

Two children and at least three women were killed in a suicide attack near a house in northwestern Pakistan last night (Thursday), according to Pakistani authorities, today (Friday).

The attack occurred in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, adjacent to areas that previously enjoyed autonomous rule.

Local police official Muhammad Sajjad Khan told AFP: "It seems the suicide bomber intended to target the police station, but he rushed and hit a civilian house before reaching" the station. He added that at least two children and three women were killed, while four others were injured. The assistant commissioner of police in Bannu confirmed the death toll to AFP.

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has intensified its attacks in the country since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in 2021, regularly targets security forces in the region.

Islamabad accuses neighboring Afghanistan of providing a safe haven for fighters preparing to launch attacks on Pakistan, a charge that the Taliban government rejects.
