يعتزم المركز الوطني للرقابة على الالتزام البيئي تطبيق «الإفصاح الطوعي» للمخالفين والمنشآت؛ لتصحيح المخالفات البيئية قبل وقوعها.

ودعا المتحدث باسم المركز سعد المطرفي، إلى المشاركة في الاستطلاع وفي الضوابط التي تساعد في الحد من الأضرار البيئية. مضيفاً أن مشروع الإفصاح الطوعي يمنح مدة لا تتجاوز 20 يوماً من تاريخ وقوع المخالفة للعمل على تصحيحها، قبل علم المركز بوقوع المخالفة على أن يتم إرفاق خطة المعالجة والتصحيح وتعاون المفصح مع المركز في التحقق من صحة البيانات وتنفيذ الإجراءات التصحيحية، وتكون المعلومات الواردة في الإفصاح الطوعي متوافرة لدى المركز أو تلقاها مسبقاً من غير المخالف وعلى المفصح الالتزام بالإفصاح عن المخالفة من خلال القنوات الرسمية التي يحددها المركز، مع تقديم خطة عمل الإجراءات التصحيحية للمخالفة خلال المدة النظامية.

The National Center for Environmental Compliance Monitoring intends to implement "voluntary disclosure" for violators and facilities; to correct environmental violations before they occur.

The spokesperson for the center, Saad Al-Mutrefi, called for participation in the survey and in the regulations that help mitigate environmental damage. He added that the voluntary disclosure project grants a period not exceeding 20 days from the date of the violation to work on correcting it, before the center becomes aware of the violation, provided that a remediation and correction plan is attached and that the discloser cooperates with the center in verifying the accuracy of the data and implementing corrective actions. The information contained in the voluntary disclosure must be available to the center or previously received from someone other than the violator, and the discloser must commit to disclosing the violation through the official channels specified by the center, along with submitting a corrective action plan for the violation within the statutory period.
