تُوفي المدرب الروماني المخضرم ميرتشا لوتشيسكو، اليوم، في أحد مستشفيات العاصمة بوخارست، بعد تعرضه لأزمة قلبية مفاجئة خلال الأيام الماضية، نقل على إثرها إلى المستشفى، قبل أن تتدهور حالته الصحية ويفارق الحياة، وسط حالة من الحزن في الأوساط الرياضية، لينتهي مشوار أحد أبرز المدربين في تاريخ كرة القدم الأوروبية، عن عمر ناهز 80 عاماً.
يذكر أن لوتشيسكو حقق إنجازات مع غلطة سراي التركي، أبرزها التتويج بكأس «السوبر الأوروبي» عام 2000، ثم الفوز بالدوري التركي موسم 2001/ 2002، قبل أن يواصل نجاحاته مع بشكتاش التركي ويُتوج بلقب الدوري في الموسم التالي، بالتزامن مع الاحتفال بالمئوية التاريخية للنادي. وعلى صعيد مسيرته كلاعب، تألق لوتشيسكو بقميص دينامو بوخارست الروماني، وحقق 7 ألقاب دوري، قبل أن يبدأ مسيرته التدريبية مبكراً في سن الـ34، ويصنع اسمه كواحد من أنجح المدربين في العالم.
وقاد لوتشيسكو منتخب بلاده إلى بطولة أمم أوروبا 1984، ليصبح أحد رموز الكرة الرومانية عبر التاريخ، وأنهى أخيراً مهمته مع منتخب رومانيا، عقب الإخفاق في التأهل إلى كأس العالم 2026، بعد ولاية ثانية بدأت في أغسطس 2024، وأعرب الاتحاد الروماني عن تقديره لمسيرته وما قدمه لكرة القدم في البلاد.
The veteran Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu passed away today in a hospital in the capital Bucharest after suffering a sudden heart attack in the past few days, which led to his hospitalization. His health deteriorated, and he ultimately passed away, leaving a sense of sorrow in the sports community, marking the end of one of the most prominent coaching careers in the history of European football, at the age of nearly 80.

Lucescu led his national team to the 1984 European Championship, becoming one of the symbols of Romanian football throughout history. He recently concluded his mission with the Romanian national team after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, following a second term that began in August 2024. The Romanian Football Federation expressed its appreciation for his career and contributions to football in the country.
