شراكة إستراتيجية
من جانبه، أعرب وزير التجارة والصناعة في جمهورية الهند عن استعداد بلاده تقديم الدعم في الجوانب الاقتصادية والتجارية لدول مجلس التعاون، بما يسهم في تعزيز متانة الشراكة الإستراتيجية بين الجانبين.
وثمن مبادرة حرص الهند على دعم وتوسيع آفاق التعاون مع دول المجلس في مجالات التجارة والاستثمار وسلاسل الإمداد، ومقدراً في الوقت ذاته الخبرات الهندية العاملة في دول المجلس، بما يجسد مكانة العلاقات الخليجية-الهندية.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد الأمين العام أن دول مجلس التعاون، وبفضل السياسات المميزة التي انتهجتها في إدارة سلاسل الإمداد، تمكنت من تجاوز آثار هذه الأزمة بكفاءة واقتدار، والحفاظ على استمرارية تدفق السلع والخدمات، بما يعزز من متانة اقتصاداتها وقدرتها على مواجهة التحديات الإقليمية والدولية، مشيداً بمستوى التنسيق والتعاون بين الدول الأعضاء في هذا المجال.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, discussed during his meeting today, via video conferencing, with the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India, Piyush Goyal, the available areas of cooperation for both sides to enhance trade exchange in light of the challenges facing the global economy, in a way that serves mutual interests.
Strategic Partnership
For his part, the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India expressed his country's readiness to provide support in the economic and trade aspects to the GCC countries, which contributes to strengthening the robustness of the strategic partnership between the two sides.
He appreciated India's initiative to support and expand cooperation with the GCC countries in the fields of trade, investment, and supply chains, while also valuing the Indian expertise working in the GCC countries, which reflects the status of Gulf-Indian relations.
In this context, the Secretary-General affirmed that the GCC countries, thanks to the distinguished policies they have adopted in managing supply chains, have been able to efficiently and effectively overcome the impacts of this crisis and maintain the continuity of the flow of goods and services, thereby enhancing the robustness of their economies and their ability to face regional and international challenges, praising the level of coordination and cooperation among member states in this area.
