أوقف مدرب الأهلي ماتياس يايسله مؤقتاً أفراح الأهلاويين بلقب دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة عقب تغلّبه في النهائي على ماتشيدا زيلفيا الياباني بهدف دون رد، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على ملعب مدينة الملك عبدالله بجدة، بحضور أكثر من 58 ألف مشجع، وفتح ملف مواجهة النصر ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ30 من دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين. ويباشر الجهاز الفني تحضيراته للمواجهة القادمة، في ظل سعي الفريق لمواصلة نتائجه الإيجابية في المسابقة المحلية، إذ يحتل الأهلي المركز الثالث في جدول الترتيب، بفارق 10 نقاط عن النصر المتصدر.

Al-Ahli coach Matthias Jaissle temporarily halted the celebrations of Al-Ahli fans for the AFC Champions League title after defeating Matsumoto Yamaga of Japan with a goal to nil in the final match held at King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah, with the presence of more than 58,000 fans. He has now turned his attention to the upcoming match against Al-Nassr in the 30th round of the Saudi Pro League. The coaching staff is preparing for the next encounter, as the team aims to continue its positive results in the domestic competition, currently sitting in third place in the standings, 10 points behind the leading Al-Nassr.

Jaissle is working on physically and technically preparing the players, focusing on leveraging the high morale following the Asian achievement, in an attempt to narrow the points gap and enhance the team's chances in the competition.
