أكدت وزارة التعليم على المدارس الابتدائية والمتوسطة في مناطق ومحافظات المملكة ضرورة إجراء الاختبارات المركزية في 6 مواد دراسية مع اختبارات نهاية الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الدراسي الحالي. وتشمل الاختبارات مادتي اللغة العربية والرياضيات لطلاب وطالبات الصف الثالث الابتدائي، ومواد ‏اللغة العربية والرياضيات والعلوم واللغة الإنجليزية لطلاب وطالبات الصف السادس الابتدائي والثالث المتوسط.

وبينت الوزارة في دليل الاختبارات المركزية للعام الدراسي الحالي أن الاختبارات المركزية ختامية تطبق من الصف الثالث الابتدائي وحتى الصف الثالث المتوسط، وتستهدف مواد دراسية أساسية، من خلال أسئلة ذات مواصفات وضوابط محددة في ضوء المناهج، ويتم إعدادها بشكل مركزي وفق لجان مختصة بالتنسيق مع المركز الوطني للمناهج، وتهدف إلى تجويد العملية التعليمية من خلال تحسين ممارسات المعلمين التدريسية والتقويمية وفقاً لنتائج الاختبارات لتغطية جميع الوحدات والمهارات والمعارف الدراسية المطلوبة في كامل المقرر للفترة الدراسية وتجويد بناء وصياغة الأسئلة التي تقدم للطلاب ورفع مستوى أداء التحصيل الدراسي للطلاب في نتائج الدراسات الوطنية والدولية وتشخيص جوانب القوة والضعف في المناهج الدراسية ومقارنة مستوى الأداء الحالي للطلاب مع المستوى المطلوب فيما يخدم تحسين نواتج التعلم المستهدفة، مشيرة إلى أن الاختبارات المركزية تطبق على جميع طلاب التعليم العام الحكومي والأهلي، وتُستثنى من ذلك مدارس التعليم المستمر، وتعليم الكبيرات، وذوي الإعاقة من الطلبة، مع إعفاء المدارس المحققة لمستوى التميز في نواتج التعلم من خوض الاختبارات المركزية؛ بهدف تمكين المدرسة وإبراز مدى نضج تجربتها.

The Ministry of Education has confirmed to primary and intermediate schools in various regions and governorates of the Kingdom the necessity of conducting central examinations in 6 subjects along with the final exams for the second semester of the current academic year. The examinations include the subjects of Arabic language and mathematics for third-grade students, and the subjects of Arabic language, mathematics, science, and English language for sixth-grade and third intermediate students.

The ministry clarified in the guide for central examinations for the current academic year that the central examinations are final assessments applied from the third grade of primary school to the third grade of intermediate school, targeting essential academic subjects through questions with specific specifications and controls in light of the curricula. These are prepared centrally by specialized committees in coordination with the National Center for Curricula. The aim is to enhance the educational process by improving teachers' instructional and assessment practices based on the results of the examinations to cover all units, skills, and academic knowledge required in the entire curriculum for the study period, and to improve the construction and formulation of the questions presented to students, raising the level of students' academic achievement in the results of national and international studies, and diagnosing the strengths and weaknesses in the curricula while comparing the current performance level of students with the required level, serving the improvement of targeted learning outcomes. It was noted that the central examinations apply to all students in public and private general education, with exceptions for continuous education schools, adult education, and students with disabilities, along with exempting schools that achieve a level of excellence in learning outcomes from participating in the central examinations; this aims to empower the school and highlight the maturity of its experience.
