تشير تقارير إلى أن دورة الألعاب الآسيوية قد تُنقل إلى الأعوام الفردية بدءاً من عام 2031، بحيث تُقام خلال الأشهر الـ12 التي تسبق دورة الألعاب الأولمبية، في خطوة من شأنها إعادة ترتيب الروزنامة الرياضية على مستوى القارة.
ووفقاً للمقترح، ستتحول أكبر تظاهرة رياضية في آسيا إلى حدث ذي أهمية مزدوجة، إذ ستجمع بين كونها محطة للتأهل والاستعداد للألعاب الأولمبية، ما يمنحها ثقلاً إضافياً في أجندة المنافسات الدولية.
ومن المقرر أن تبقى نسخة «الآسياد» المقبلة في اليابان، والمقررة في شهري سبتمبر وأكتوبر، كما هي دون أي تعديل، في حين ستُرحّل نسخة 2030 التي تستضيفها الدوحة لمدة عام واحد، على أن تُقام البطولة بعد ذلك كل 4 سنوات وفق النظام المعتاد، لكن في سنوات فردية بدلاً من الزوجية.
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء الصينية الرسمية «شينخوا» أن المكتب التنفيذي للمجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي وافق على هذا التوجه، على أن تُستكمل المشاورات خلال الفترة المقبلة مع الاتحادات الرياضية الدولية المعنية.
من جانبه، أفاد موقع «إنسايد ذا غيمز» المتخصص بأن المقترح طُرح للنقاش خلال اجتماع المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي الذي عُقد في مدينة سانيا الصينية، التي تستضيف حالياً دورة الألعاب الشاطئية الآسيوية. ونقلت «شينخوا» عن نائب رئيس المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي، سونغ لوزينغ، قوله: «إن هذه الخطوة ستمنح الألعاب الآسيوية دوراً تأهيلياً للأولمبياد، وهو ما يوفر للرياضيين المميزين فرصاً إضافية للمنافسة عالية المستوى، ويسهم في رفع جودة البطولة عموماً».
ولم يصدر أي تعليق فوري من المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي رداً على استفسار «وكالة الصحافة الفرنسية» حول هذه الخطوة.
وتُعد دورة الألعاب الآسيوية أكبر حدث رياضي في القارة، وغالباً ما يتجاوز عدد المشاركين فيها نظيره في دورة الألعاب الأولمبية، ما يعكس حجمها وأهميتها على الساحة الرياضية الدولية.

The next edition of the "Asian Games," scheduled to take place in Japan in September and October, will remain unchanged, while the 2030 edition hosted by Doha will be postponed by one year, with the championship then held every 4 years as usual, but in odd years instead of even ones.
The official Chinese news agency "Xinhua" reported that the executive board of the Olympic Council of Asia approved this direction, with consultations to continue in the upcoming period with the relevant international sports federations.
For its part, the specialized website "Inside the Games" reported that the proposal was discussed during a meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia held in the Chinese city of Sanya, which is currently hosting the Asian Beach Games. "Xinhua" quoted the Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia, Song Luzheng, as saying: "This step will give the Asian Games a qualifying role for the Olympics, which provides outstanding athletes with additional opportunities for high-level competition and contributes to raising the overall quality of the championship."
No immediate comment was issued by the Olympic Council of Asia in response to an inquiry from the French Press Agency regarding this step.
The Asian Games are considered the largest sporting event on the continent, often surpassing the number of participants in the Olympic Games, reflecting its size and importance on the international sports scene.
