في عملية أمنية أثارت ضجة واسعة في محافظة الديوانية العراقية، نجحت الأجهزة الأمنية في الإطاحة بـ«محتال خطير» احترف بيع الأوهام للعراقيين، مستغلاً انتحال صفة ضابط وشقيق مسؤول بارز لتنفيذ مخططاته.

وفي كواليس الواقعة، أن المتهم كان يدير شبكة احتيال تستهدف الشباب الباحثين عن عمل. وبأسلوب «هوليودي»، كان يوهم ضحاياه بقدرته الخارقة على تأمين وظائف ونقلهم بين الدوائر الحكومية مقابل مبالغ مالية، مستنداً إلى صفته المزيفة كـ«ضابط» وقرابته المزعومة بأحد المسؤولين.

لم يدم «العرض المسرحي» طويلاً، فبعد متابعة ميدانية ورصد دقيق تمت محاصرة المتهم وإلقاء القبض عليه. وتبين أنه مطلوب أساساً لمديرية الجرائم المعلوماتية وفق قرار متعلق بانتحال الصفات الرسمية.

وأكدت الجهات الأمنية إحالة المتهم إلى التحقيق لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية، بينما اعتبر مراقبون أن هذه القضية هي «رسالة تحذير» لكل من ينساق وراء وعود التوظيف خارج القنوات الرسمية، مؤكدين أن «النفوذ الوهمي» هو السلاح الأول للمحتالين في الإيقاع بضحاياهم.

Behind the scenes of the incident, the accused was managing a fraud network targeting young people seeking employment. With a "Hollywood" style, he would deceive his victims into believing in his extraordinary ability to secure jobs and transfer them between government departments in exchange for financial amounts, relying on his fake identity as an "officer" and his alleged kinship with one of the officials.

The "theatrical performance" did not last long, as after field monitoring and precise surveillance, the accused was surrounded and arrested. It turned out that he was originally wanted by the Cyber Crimes Directorate under a decision related to impersonating official identities.

Security authorities confirmed the referral of the accused for investigation to complete legal procedures, while observers considered this case to be a "warning message" to anyone who falls for job promises outside official channels, emphasizing that "illusory influence" is the primary weapon of fraudsters in ensnaring their victims.
