في إطار الدعم التنموي المتواصل الذي تقدمه المملكة العربية السعودية لليمن، بحث محافظ أرخبيل سقطرى المهندس رأفت علي الثقلي، مع مدير مكتب البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن في المحافظة محمد اليحياء، آليات تعزيز العمل المشترك لتطوير القطاعات الخدمية، وفي مقدمتها قطاعا التعليم والإصحاح البيئي، بما يضمن تحسين جودة الحياة لسكان الأرخبيل. تطوير الخدمات واستعرض الاجتماع الخطط التنفيذية الرامية إلى الارتقاء بمنظومة الإصحاح البيئي، وتحسين المظهر العام للأرخبيل بما يتواكب مع مكانته البيئية والسياحية العالمية. كما بحث الجانبان جملة من الاحتياجات والمتطلبات التعليمية، والسبل الكفيلة بتعزيز العملية التربوية وتوفير بيئة مدرسية متكاملة تلبي تطلعات الكوادر التعليمية والطلاب في مختلف مديريات المحافظة. شراكة تنموية وثمّن محافظ أرخبيل سقطرى الدور الريادي والمستمر الذي يضطلع به البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن في دعم السلطة المحلية، مؤكداً أن الدعم السعودي في سقطرى بات يشكل العمود الفقري للخدمات الأساسية في المحافظة. وأشار إلى أن التنسيق المشترك بين السلطة المحلية والبرنامج السعودي يمضي بوتيرة عالية لضمان تنفيذ المشاريع الخدمية. بصمات سعودية يُشار إلى أن المملكة العربية السعودية، عبر ذراعها التنموية «برنامج إعمار اليمن»، تقود حراكاً تطويرياً واسعاً في سقطرى، شملت قطاعات الطاقة، والمياه، والصحة، والتعليم، والنقل، إضافة إلى دعم الموانئ والمطارات، وهو ما انعكس إيجاباً على استقرار الخدمات ودفع عجلة التنمية في واحدة من أجمل المحميات الطبيعية في العالم. As part of the ongoing developmental support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Yemen, the Governor of Socotra Archipelago, Engineer Raafat Ali Al-Thuqali, discussed with the Director of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in the governorate, Mohammed Al-Yahya, mechanisms to enhance joint efforts to develop service sectors, particularly in education and environmental sanitation, ensuring an improvement in the quality of life for the archipelago's residents. Service Development The meeting reviewed the executive plans aimed at upgrading the environmental sanitation system and improving the overall appearance of the archipelago in line with its global environmental and tourism status. The two sides also discussed a number of educational needs and requirements, as well as ways to enhance the educational process and provide a comprehensive school environment that meets the aspirations of educational staff and students in various districts of the governorate. Developmental Partnership The Governor of Socotra Archipelago praised the pioneering and ongoing role played by the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in supporting the local authority, affirming that Saudi support in Socotra has become the backbone of essential services in the governorate. He pointed out that the joint coordination between the local authority and the Saudi program is progressing at a high pace to ensure the implementation of service projects. Saudi Imprints It is noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its developmental arm "Yemen Reconstruction Program," is leading a wide-ranging developmental movement in Socotra, covering the sectors of energy, water, health, education, and transportation, in addition to supporting ports and airports, which has positively reflected on the stability of services and accelerated development in one of the most beautiful natural reserves in the world.
