نيابةً عن خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، يرأس وزير البلديات والإسكان ماجد الحقيل، وفد المملكة العربية السعودية المُشارك في المنتدى الحضري العالمي الثالث عشر (WUF13) تحت عنوان «الإسكان العالمي.. مدن ومجتمعات آمنة ومرنة»، الذي يُقام خلال الفترة من 17 إلى 22 مايو 2026 في مدينة باكو بجمهورية أذربيجان، بمشاركة واسعة من الحكومات والمنظمات الدولية والخبراء المتخصصين في التنمية الحضرية المستدامة. حضور دولي فاعل وأكَّد وزير البلديات والإسكان، أن مشاركة المملكة في المنتدى تجسّد حضورها الدولي الفاعل، ودورها في دعم الجهود العالمية لبناء مدن أكثر استدامة وازدهارًا وجودة حياة، مثمنًا الثقة الكريمة والدعم غير المحدود من القيادة الرشيدة، الذي يُشكّل دافعًا لتعزيز إسهام المملكة في تطوير المدن والارتقاء بجودة الحياة؛ بما يعكس مكانتها ودورها في مسيرة التنمية الحضرية. ويستعرض وفد المملكة خلال أعمال المنتدى أبرز المبادرات الوطنية والتجارب الرائدة في مجالات الإسكان، والتخطيط الحضري، وتطوير المشهد الحضري، والأنسنة، والاستثمار البلدي، والتحول الرقمي في الخدمات البلدية، إلى جانب المشاريع التي أسهمت في رفع كفاءة المدن وتحسين مستوى الخدمات المقدمة للسكان. تعزيز الشراكات الدولية وتأتي هذه المشاركة تأكيدًا لما حققته المملكة من تحولات تنموية في تطوير المدن والارتقاء بجودة الحياة ضمن مستهدفات رؤية 2030، إلى جانب تعزيز الشراكات الدولية، وتبادل الخبرات، ودعم الحلول المبتكرة للتحديات الحضرية؛ بما يسهم في تعزيز استدامة المدن ورفع كفاءة البيئة الحضرية. ويُعدّ المنتدى الحضري العالمي من أبرز المحافل الدولية المتخصصة في قضايا التنمية الحضرية، وينظمه برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية، ويجمع صناع القرار ورؤساء المدن والخبراء لمناقشة مستقبل المدن واستعراض أفضل الممارسات العالمية. On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid Al-Hoqail, heads the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participating in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) under the theme "Global Housing... Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities," which will be held from May 17 to 22, 2026, in Baku, Azerbaijan, with wide participation from governments, international organizations, and experts specializing in sustainable urban development. Active International Presence The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing confirmed that the Kingdom's participation in the forum embodies its active international presence and its role in supporting global efforts to build more sustainable, prosperous cities and improve quality of life, appreciating the generous trust and unlimited support from the wise leadership, which serves as a motivation to enhance the Kingdom's contribution to urban development and elevate the quality of life; reflecting its status and role in the journey of urban development. During the forum, the Saudi delegation will showcase the most prominent national initiatives and pioneering experiences in the fields of housing, urban planning, urban scene development, humanization, municipal investment, and digital transformation in municipal services, alongside projects that have contributed to enhancing the efficiency of cities and improving the level of services provided to residents. Enhancing International Partnerships This participation reaffirms what the Kingdom has achieved in developmental transformations in urban development and improving quality of life within the objectives of Vision 2030, in addition to enhancing international partnerships, exchanging experiences, and supporting innovative solutions to urban challenges; contributing to the sustainability of cities and improving the efficiency of the urban environment. The World Urban Forum is one of the most prominent international platforms specialized in urban development issues, organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, bringing together decision-makers, city leaders, and experts to discuss the future of cities and showcase the best global practices.
