نفى الإعلامي السعودي عبدالرحمن أبومالح صحة ما يتم تداوله بشأن وجود خلافات وراء مغادرته منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ثمانية، مؤكداً أن رحيله يأتي ضمن «مرحلة انتهت وتبدأ مرحلة جديدة».
وقال أبومالح في منشور عبر حسابه على منصة «إكس»: «غير صحيح ما يتم تداوله من خلافات، هي مرحلة وانتهت وتبدأ مرحلة جديدة»، مضيفاً أن مستقبل «ثمانية» لا يزال «واعداً» بفضل فريق العمل ودعم المجموعة المالكة.
ثمانية لن تغادرني
وأوضح أبومالح أنه سيبقى شريكاً يملك 25% من الشركة، مؤكداً استمراره في تقديم الدعم والاستشارات خلال الفترة القادمة، قائلاً: «أغادر ثمانية كرئيس تنفيذي.. لكنها لن تغادرني أبداً».
وأشار إلى أن عملية تسليم القيادة ستستمر خلال الشهرين القادمين، مع استمراره في دعم الشركة بعد ذلك عند الحاجة.

ويُعد أبومالح من أبرز الأسماء في مجال البودكاست، إذ أسس «ثمانية» عام 2016، واشتهر بتقديم بودكاست «فنجان» الذي حقق انتشاراً واسعاً في العالم العربي.

Abumalih's clarification came after social media circulated posts discussing his resignation due to conflicts with the CEO of the Saudi Research and Media Group, Jumana Al-Rashed, related to the company's directions and future strategy.

Abumalih is considered one of the prominent names in the podcasting field, having founded "Thamiah" in 2016, and he became well-known for hosting the podcast "Fanjan," which achieved widespread popularity in the Arab world.
In 2021, the Saudi Research and Media Group acquired 51% of "Thamiah," before announcing on May 12, 2026, that it raised its stake to 75%, which renewed speculations about Abumalih's future within the company and sparked a wide wave of interaction on social media platforms.
