أكد المدير الفني لنادي الشباب نورالدين بن زكري، خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي أعقب مواجهة الشباب والاتحاد، أن فريقه قدم مباراة كبيرة، مشيداً بالروح القتالية التي أظهرها اللاعبون. وقال بن زكري إن لاعبي الشباب كانوا على أتم الاستعداد للمباراة، مبيناً أن الفريق كان يسعى للخروج من دوامة النتائج السلبية التي مر بها أخيراً، مؤكداً في الوقت ذاته أن تلك النتائج لا تعكس المستوى الفني الحقيقي للفريق. وأضاف: «أشكر اللاعبين على الروح القتالية داخل المباراة، واليوم كانوا يريدون تقديم مباراة كبيرة وإظهار شخصية الشباب داخل الملعب». وكشف مدرب الشباب عن حديث جمعه بالنجم البرتغالي كريستيانو رونالدو في وقت سابق، وسأله الأخير عن سبب اختلاف أداء الشباب أمام الفرق الكبرى، ليرد بن زكري قائلاً: «رونالدو سألني لماذا لا تلعب جميع مبارياتك مثلما تلعب ضد النصر، وقلت له شاهد مبارياتي أمام الهلال والقادسية». وتطرق المدرب الجزائري إلى الحديث الذي دار بينه وبين مدرب الاتحاد عقب اللقاء، موضحاً أن مدرب الاتحاد تحدث معه باللغة الإيطالية قبل أن يعتذر له لاحقاً، مشيراً إلى أنه لا يرغب في الخوض في ما قيل بينهما. وأشار بن زكري إلى أن كرة القدم تعتمد كثيراً على التوفيق، مستشهداً بما حدث في مواجهة النصر والهلال، قائلاً إن الجميع كان يستعد للاحتفال بحسم الدوري قبل أن يتأجل الحسم بسبب هدف سجله أحد اللاعبين بيده. واختتم مدرب الشباب حديثه برسالة إلى الجماهير الشبابية، دعا خلالها إلى الالتفاف حول الفريق ونبذ الخلافات، مؤكداً أن مصلحة النادي تكمن في وحدة الصف، وقال: «ليس من مصلحة الشباب أن تكون هناك معارضة من السابقين للحاليين أو العكس، والأهم أن يعود النادي بين الكبار كما كان». The Algerian coach also touched on the conversation he had with the Al-Ittihad coach after the match, explaining that the Al-Ittihad coach spoke to him in Italian before later apologizing, noting that he did not wish to delve into what was said between them.
