في سياق متصل، جرى اتصال هاتفي بين وزير خارجية المملكة الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، ونظيره المصري الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي أمس (الأحد)، حيث تناول الاتصال التنسيق الوثيق بين القاهرة والرياض إزاء التطورات المتسارعة التي تشهدها المنطقة، واستعرض الوزيران الجهود الرامية لخفض التصعيد الإقليمي، وتجنب التداعيات الخطيرة لاستمرار وتيرة التصعيد التي تهدد بجر منطقة الشرق الأوسط إلى حالة من الفوضى التي ستطال تداعياتها الأمن والاستقرار الدوليين.
وفي هذا السياق، تطرق الاتصال إلى تطورات المسار التفاوضي بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران واتفق الوزيران على أهمية استئناف هذا المسار وإنجاحه، مؤكداً أن الحوار والحلول الدبلوماسية يمثلان السبيل الوحيد لمعالجة الازمة، بما يجنب الإقليم مخاطر الانزلاق نحو مواجهات غير محسوبة.
وخلال الاتصال، جدد الوزير عبد العاطي التأكيد على تضامن مصر الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية وسائر دول الخليج الشقيقة في مواجهة أية ممارسات تستهدف المساس بأمنها واستقرارها، منوهاً في الوقت ذاته إلى الانعكاسات الاقتصادية الوخيمة لاستمرار التوتر، وضرورة الحفاظ على أمن الملاحة بالممرات المائية الدولية كركيزة أساسية لاستقرار الاقتصاد العالمي وحركة التجارة.
واتفق الوزيران على الأهمية البالغة للحفاظ على سيادة الصومال ووحدة وسلامة أراضيه، وجددا إدانة الاعتراف بما يسمى بجمهورية أرض الصومال لما يمثله ذلك من خرق وانتهاك صارخ لقواعد القانون الدولي.

During the call, Minister Abdel Atti reiterated Egypt's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all sister Gulf states in facing any practices that target their security and stability, while also noting the severe economic repercussions of continued tension and the necessity of maintaining the security of navigation in international waterways as a fundamental pillar for the stability of the global economy and trade movement.
The two ministers agreed on the utmost importance of preserving Somalia's sovereignty and the unity and integrity of its territory, and they renewed their condemnation of the recognition of what is called the Republic of Somaliland for what it represents as a blatant violation of international law.
