تسببت شهامة 3 شبان في نهاية مأساوية، الإثنين، بعدما لقوا مصرعهم صعقاً بالكهرباء أثناء محاولتهم السيطرة على حريق شبّ داخل شقة سكنية بمنطقة «الكوم الأحمر» في محافظة الجيزة المصرية.

وبدأت الفاجعة بمحاولة الضحايا – وبينهم شقيقان أحدهما محاسب والآخر عامل – التدخل السريع لإخماد النيران المستعرة قبل وصول سيارات الإطفاء. وأثناء استخدامهم سلماً حديدياً لولوج الشقة ومحاصرة الحريق، تسبب السلم في ملامسة خط كهربائي مكشوف، مما أدى إلى صعق الشبان الثلاثة ومصرعهم في الحال.

وكانت الحماية المدنية قد دفعت بسيارات الإطفاء فور تلقي البلاغ، حيث تمكنت من محاصرة الحريق ومنع تمدده إلى البنايات المجاورة. ونُقلت جثامين الضحايا إلى المشرحة بطلب من جهات التحقيق التي تباشر رفع الآثار ومعاينة الموقع، تمهيداً لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية واستخراج تصاريح الدفن.

The bravery of three young men led to a tragic end on Monday, as they lost their lives due to electric shock while trying to control a fire that broke out inside a residential apartment in the "Kom Al-Ahmar" area of Giza, Egypt.

The tragedy began when the victims – among them two brothers, one an accountant and the other a laborer – attempted to quickly extinguish the raging flames before the fire trucks arrived. While using a metal ladder to access the apartment and contain the fire, the ladder came into contact with an exposed electrical line, resulting in the electrocution of the three young men, who died instantly.

The civil defense dispatched fire trucks immediately upon receiving the report, managing to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring buildings. The bodies of the victims were transferred to the morgue at the request of the investigative authorities, who are conducting an examination of the site and collecting evidence, in preparation for completing the legal procedures and obtaining burial permits.
