أكدت مصر تضامنها الكامل مع دولة لبنان، وطالبت بانسحاب إسرائيلي كامل من كافة الأراضي اللبنانية، وذلك في إطار جهود دبلوماسية مكثفة لدعم سيادة لبنان واستقراره.
وأجرى وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي اتصالاً هاتفياً مع رئيس مجلس الوزراء اللبناني الدكتور نواف سلام، للتشاور حول آخر التطورات الأمنية والسياسية التي يشهدها لبنان.
وصرح المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية السفير تميم خلاف بأن الوزير عبدالعاطي أكد خلال الاتصال التضامن المصري الكامل مع لبنان في مواجهة التحديات الراهنة.
وشدد على الموقف المصري الثابت الداعي إلى انسحاب إسرائيل الكامل من كافة الأراضي اللبنانية، مؤكداً أن أي مساس بسيادة لبنان ووحدة وسلامة أراضيه يُعد خرقاً صارخاً لقواعد القانون الدولي وقرار مجلس الأمن الدولي رقم 1701.
وأضاف المتحدث أن الوزير المصري أكد أهمية دعم مؤسسات الدولة اللبنانية، وفي مقدمتها الجيش اللبناني، لتمكينها من بسط سلطتها وسيادتها على كامل التراب الوطني.
كما شدد على ضرورة حصرية السلاح بيد الدولة اللبنانية، باعتبارها الركيزة الأساسية لحفظ الأمن والاستقرار في لبنان، ومساندة خيار الدولة اللبنانية وسيادتها.
يأتي هذا الموقف المصري في ظل تصعيد متواصل على الجبهة الجنوبية اللبنانية، إذ تستمر التوغلات والعمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في مناطق جنوب لبنان، رغم قرارات وقف إطلاق النار السابقة.
ويدعو قرار مجلس الأمن 1701 الذي صدر في أغسطس 2006 إلى وقف كامل للأعمال العدائية، وانسحاب إسرائيلي كامل من الأراضي اللبنانية، ونشر الجيش اللبناني وقوات اليونيفيل في الجنوب، مع التأكيد على احترام سيادة لبنان ووحدة أراضيه، وتُعتبر مصر من الدول الداعمة تاريخياً لتنفيذ هذا القرار وتعزيز الاستقرار في لبنان.
Egypt has affirmed its full solidarity with the State of Lebanon and called for a complete Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territories, as part of intensive diplomatic efforts to support Lebanon's sovereignty and stability.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Aty, conducted a phone call with the Lebanese Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, to discuss the latest security and political developments in Lebanon.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, stated that Minister Abdel Aty confirmed during the call Egypt's complete solidarity with Lebanon in facing the current challenges.
He emphasized Egypt's firm position calling for a complete Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territories, asserting that any infringement on Lebanon's sovereignty and the unity and integrity of its territory constitutes a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
The spokesperson added that the Egyptian minister emphasized the importance of supporting Lebanese state institutions, foremost among them the Lebanese army, to enable them to exercise their authority and sovereignty over the entire national territory.
He also stressed the necessity of exclusive control of weapons by the Lebanese state, as it is the fundamental pillar for maintaining security and stability in Lebanon, and supporting the choice of the Lebanese state and its sovereignty.
This Egyptian stance comes amid ongoing escalation on the southern Lebanese front, as Israeli incursions and military operations continue in southern Lebanon, despite previous ceasefire decisions.
UN Security Council Resolution 1701, issued in August 2006, calls for a complete cessation of hostilities, a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territories, and the deployment of the Lebanese army and UNIFIL forces in the south, while emphasizing respect for Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Egypt is historically one of the countries supporting the implementation of this resolution and enhancing stability in Lebanon.
