أكدت رئيسة قطاع النفط والأسواق في وكالة الطاقة الدولية توريل بوسوني، إن مخزونات النفط العالمية قد تنخفض إلى مستويات حرجة قبيل ذروة الطلب الصيفي، وذلك في حال استمرار وتيرة السحب من المخزونات بالمعدلات الحالية. وأضافت «بوسوني» أن مخزونات النفط تستمر في التراجع مع دخول فصل الصيف، مشيرة إلى أن استمرار هذا الاتجاه يزيد احتمالات وصول المخزونات إلى مستويات متدنية للغاية قبل فترة ذروة الطلب الموسمي، وفقاً لوكالات إعلامية غربية. تأتي هذه التحذيرات في وقت تتزايد فيه المخاوف بشأن تراجع المخزونات العالمية، وأكدت «إكسون موبيل» في وقت سابق، إن المخزونات قد تهبط إلى مستويات متدنية للغاية خلال الأسابيع المقبلة، ما قد يدفع أسعار النفط للارتفاع بشكل حاد. Bosoni added that oil inventories continue to decline as summer approaches, noting that the continuation of this trend increases the likelihood of inventories reaching extremely low levels before the seasonal demand peak, according to Western media outlets. These warnings come at a time when concerns about the decline in global inventories are increasing, and Exxon Mobil previously confirmed that inventories could fall to extremely low levels in the coming weeks, which could drive oil prices to rise sharply.
