يعيد المعهد الملكي للفنون التقليدية (وِرث) إحياء أحد أبرز الفنون المرتبطة بالعمارة النجدية، عبر فتح باب التسجيل في دفعة جديدة من برنامج تلمذة «فنون النجارة والأبواب النجدية»، الهادف إلى نقل المعرفة الحرفية المتوارثة وتأهيل جيل جديد من الممارسين القادرين على إتقان هذا الفن والمحافظة عليه.

ويُقام البرنامج في مقر المعهد بمحافظة عنيزة بمنطقة القصيم، إذ يخوض المتدربون تجربة عملية تمتد 18 شهراً داخل الورش الحرفية، يتعلمون خلالها أساليب النجارة التقليدية، وفنون النقش والزخرفة النجدية، وتنفيذ الأبواب باستخدام الأدوات والتقنيات الحديثة، بإشراف حرفيين ومختصين ذوي خبرة.

ويأتي البرنامج ضمن خطط «وِرث» لصون الفنون التقليدية السعودية واستدامتها من خلال برامج تعليمية تعتمد على التعلّم بالممارسة ونقل الخبرات الحية من الحرفيين إلى الأجيال الجديدة. ومن المقرر أن يبدأ البرنامج في أغسطس 2026، وتُقدَّم الدراسة مجاناً للمواطنين.

The Royal Institute for Traditional Arts (Wirth) is reviving one of the most prominent arts associated with Najdi architecture by opening registration for a new batch of the "Najdi Carpentry and Doors" apprenticeship program, aimed at transferring inherited craft knowledge and training a new generation of practitioners capable of mastering and preserving this art.

The program will take place at the institute's headquarters in the city of Unaizah in the Al-Qassim region, where trainees will undergo a practical experience lasting 18 months within craft workshops. During this time, they will learn traditional carpentry techniques, the arts of Najdi engraving and decoration, and the execution of doors using modern tools and techniques, under the supervision of skilled artisans and experts.

This program is part of Wirth's plans to preserve and sustain traditional Saudi arts through educational programs that rely on learning by doing and transferring live experiences from artisans to new generations. The program is scheduled to begin in August 2026, and the study will be offered free of charge to citizens.
