أعرب الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، جاسم محمد البديوي، عن إدانته واستنكاره بأشد العبارات للعدوان الإيراني المتواصل على مملكة البحرين ودولة الكويت، مؤكداً أن هذه الاعتداءات الجبانة على الأعيان المدنية والبنى التحتية والمقرات والبعثات الدبلوماسية تمثل تصعيداً خطيراً وغير مسبوق، وتعكس إصرار النظام الإيراني على انتهاج سياسات عدائية مرفوضة تستهدف أمن دول مجلس التعاون واستقرارها وسيادتها.
وقال البديوي: إن استمرار هذه الاعتداءات يكشف تمسك إيران بسياساتها العدائية المرفوضة التي تسعى إلى تقويض الأمن الإقليمي، في تحدٍ سافر للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة وكافة الأعراف الدولية، الأمر الذي يستوجب موقفاً دولياً حازماً يضع حداً لهذه الممارسات الإيرانية العدوانية الخطيرة.
وشدد على أن أمن مملكة البحرين ودولة الكويت يعد جزءاً لا يتجزأ من أمن دول مجلس التعاون، وأن دول المجلس تقف صفاً واحداً في مواجهة هذه الاعتداءات، وتدعم بشكل كامل جميع الإجراءات والتدابير التي تتخذها الدولتان للدفاع عن أمنهما وسيادتهما وسلامة أراضيهما.
وكان مطار الكويت قد تعرض لهجوم بطائرات مسيّرة وصواريخ باليستية صباح اليوم، ما أسفر عن وفاة شخص وإصابة آخرين، إضافة إلى أضرار جسيمة في منشآت المطار.
ونددت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية في بيان بالهجوم، واصفة إياه بأنه «نهج عدواني إيراني منظم».
وفي الوقت ذاته، اعترضت الدفاعات البحرينية ثلاثة صواريخ وعدداً من الطائرات المسيّرة الإيرانية ودمرتها، منددة بما وصفته بـ«النهج العدواني الإيراني المنظم» الذي يستهدف الأعيان المدنية في مملكة البحرين.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, expressed his condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the ongoing Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, affirming that these cowardly attacks on civilian targets, infrastructure, and diplomatic missions represent a serious and unprecedented escalation, reflecting the Iranian regime's insistence on pursuing unacceptable hostile policies that target the security, stability, and sovereignty of the GCC states.
Al-Budaiwi stated that the continuation of these attacks reveals Iran's adherence to its rejected hostile policies that seek to undermine regional security, in blatant defiance of international law, the United Nations Charter, and all international norms, which necessitates a firm international stance to put an end to these dangerous Iranian aggressive practices.
He emphasized that the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, and that the member states stand united in facing these aggressions, fully supporting all measures and actions taken by the two countries to defend their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Kuwait International Airport was attacked by drones and ballistic missiles this morning, resulting in one death and several injuries, in addition to significant damage to airport facilities.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack in a statement, describing it as an "organized Iranian aggressive approach."
At the same time, Bahraini defenses intercepted three missiles and several Iranian drones and destroyed them, condemning what it described as an "organized Iranian aggressive approach" targeting civilian sites in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
