رفع وزير الثقافة الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان،، الشكر والعرفان إلى خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وإلى ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، -حفظهما الله- بمناسبة موافقة مجلس الوزراء على تحويل الوحدة التنظيمية في وزارة الثقافة المسماة بـ«الأرشيف الثقافي» إلى مركز غير مستقل باسم «مركز ذاكرة الثقافة السعودية»؛ وفقًا لترتيباته التنظيمية، مثمنًا سموه دعم القيادة الرشيدة غير المحدود للقطاع الثقافي، ولجهود حفظ التراث الوطني. وأكد وزير الثقافة أن هذه الخطوة تُعدّ نقلةً نوعية في مسيرة مركز ذاكرة الثقافة السعودية، تجعل منه مرجعًا وطنيًا للتراث الثقافي، والجهة المسؤولة عن تنظيم قطاع الحصر والتوثيق والأرشفة الرقمية، وتطوير السياسات والمعايير الوطنية، وتمكين الجهات ذات العلاقة من حفظ وتوثيق الذاكرة الثقافية وفق إطار موحد، وذلك بما ينسجم مع رؤية المملكة 2030 في الاهتمام بالثقافة والفنون. وأشار سموه إلى أن المركز سيعمل على تنظيم قطاع الحصر والتوثيق والأرشفة الرقمية، وبناء القدرات، وضمان استدامة الحفظ والإتاحة الرقمية، إلى جانب ربط المركز وخدماته بالجهات ذات العلاقة ضمن منظومة التراث الثقافي في المملكة، بما يضمن حماية أعلى للتراث الثقافي للمملكة على المدى الطويل. ويتولى مركز ذاكرة الثقافة السعودية الذي أنشأته وزارة الثقافة الإشراف على الحصر والتوثيق والأرشفة الرقمية، وإدارة المنصة الوطنية الموحدة للذاكرة الثقافية، وتطوير البنية التحتية للحفظ الرقمي، وبناء القدرات الوطنية في مجالات التوثيق، إلى جانب تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي بقيمة التراث الثقافي. كما يعمل المركز على حصر البيانات الثقافية وجمعها تحت مظلة وطنية واحدة، إلى جانب وضع معايير موحدة، وتمكين المختصين من الوصول إلى هذه المعلومات التراثية الموثوقة. ويأتي المركز ضمن جهود وزارة الثقافة لتنمية القطاع الثقافي، وحفظ التراث الثقافي وصوْنه، من خلال تطوير نماذج وطنية مبتكرة لحفظ وعرض المحتوى الثقافي، وتنويع مصادر الذاكرة الوطنية وتعزيز تكاملها، وتحفيز المساهمة المجتمعية فيها، مع بناء منظومة تقنية متقدمة تحفظ التراث الثقافي السعودي، وتتيح الاستفادة منه، بما يدعم تحقيق مستهدفات الإستراتيجية الوطنية للثقافة، تحت مظلة رؤية المملكة 2030. The Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect them - on the occasion of the Cabinet's approval to transform the organizational unit in the Ministry of Culture called the "Cultural Archive" into a non-independent center named "Saudi Cultural Memory Center"; in accordance with its organizational arrangements, praising His Highness the unlimited support of the wise leadership for the cultural sector and for efforts to preserve national heritage. The Minister of Culture confirmed that this step represents a qualitative leap in the journey of the Saudi Cultural Memory Center, making it a national reference for cultural heritage and the entity responsible for organizing the sector of documentation, archiving, and digital preservation, developing national policies and standards, and enabling relevant parties to preserve and document cultural memory within a unified framework, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in caring for culture and the arts. His Highness indicated that the center will work on organizing the sector of documentation, archiving, and digital preservation, building capacities, and ensuring the sustainability of digital preservation and accessibility, in addition to linking the center and its services with relevant entities within the cultural heritage system in the Kingdom, ensuring greater protection for the Kingdom's cultural heritage in the long term. The Saudi Cultural Memory Center, established by the Ministry of Culture, is responsible for overseeing documentation, archiving, and digital preservation, managing the national unified platform for cultural memory, developing the infrastructure for digital preservation, and building national capacities in the fields of documentation, alongside enhancing community awareness of the value of cultural heritage. The center also works on collecting and aggregating cultural data under a single national umbrella, in addition to establishing unified standards and enabling specialists to access this reliable heritage information. The center is part of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to develop the cultural sector, preserve and safeguard cultural heritage, by developing innovative national models for preserving and showcasing cultural content, diversifying sources of national memory and enhancing their integration, stimulating community contribution to it, while building an advanced technological system that preserves Saudi cultural heritage and allows for its utilization, supporting the achievement of the objectives of the national culture strategy under the umbrella of Vision 2030.
