أعلن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو اليوم (السبت)، أن قواته ستبدأ الانسحاب من المنطقتين التجريبيتين في قريتي زوطر الغربية وفرون بجنوب لبنان.
وقال نتنياهو، خلال مؤتمر صحفي، إنهم توصلوا إلى إطار اتفاق يمكّنهم من إنهاء الصراع مع لبنان، موضحاً أنهم اتفقوا مع الولايات المتحدة ولبنان على منطقتين أمنيتين لتجربة آلية نزع سلاح «حزب الله».
وتوعد نتنياهو بتدمير البنى التحتية للحزب في جنوب لبنان، قائلاً: «لدينا عمل كثير لم ننجزه بعد»، مضيفاً: «دمرنا نحو 90% من مخزون حزب الله الصاروخي».
وأشار إلى أن الولايات المتحدة ولبنان وافقا على بقاء قواته في المنطقة الأمنية بجنوب لبنان، مبيناً أن قواته ستبقى في منطقة الشقيف.
ولفت إلى أن قواته تتمتع بحرية الحركة للتصدي لأي تهديد في لبنان، مؤكداً أنه عارض بشدة أي محاولة لفرض انسحاب إسرائيلي.
وأضاف أن مهمة الجيش الإسرائيلي في لبنان لم تنتهِ بعد، ولا تزال هناك تحديات، على رأسها المسيّرات المفخخة، معتبراً أن الاتفاق يعزز أمن إسرائيل ولبنان ويضعف نفوذ إيران و«حزب الله».
كما صرح نتنياهو بأن وفداً إسرائيلياً سيتوجه قريباً إلى واشنطن لإجراء مباحثات بشأن البرنامج النووي الإيراني، في ظل المحادثات رفيعة المستوى الجارية بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، مبيناً أن المسؤولين الإسرائيليين سيعرضون المصالح الإسرائيلية خلال المفاوضات النووية.
في المقابل، أعلنت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية مقتل شخص وإصابة اثنين آخرين في غارة إسرائيلية استهدفت بلدة النبطية الفوقا جنوبي لبنان.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Saturday) that his forces will begin withdrawing from the two experimental areas in the villages of Zawtar al-Gharbiya and Frun in southern Lebanon.
Netanyahu stated during a press conference that they have reached a framework agreement that allows them to end the conflict with Lebanon, explaining that they have agreed with the United States and Lebanon on two security areas to test a disarmament mechanism for "Hezbollah."
He vowed to destroy the party's infrastructure in southern Lebanon, saying, "we have a lot of work that we have not yet completed," adding, "We have destroyed about 90% of Hezbollah's missile stockpile."
He pointed out that the United States and Lebanon agreed to allow his forces to remain in the security area in southern Lebanon, indicating that his forces will stay in the Shuqif area.
He noted that his forces enjoy the freedom of movement to respond to any threat in Lebanon, emphasizing that he strongly opposed any attempt to impose an Israeli withdrawal.
He added that the Israeli army's mission in Lebanon is not over yet, and there are still challenges, primarily the explosive drones, considering that the agreement enhances the security of Israel and Lebanon and weakens the influence of Iran and "Hezbollah."
Netanyahu also stated that an Israeli delegation will soon head to Washington for discussions regarding the Iranian nuclear program, amid high-level talks ongoing between the United States and Iran, indicating that Israeli officials will present Israeli interests during the nuclear negotiations.
In contrast, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the death of one person and the injury of two others in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon.
