لا يزال أهالي محافظة أحد رفيدة، ينتظرون من وزارة الصحة إنشاء مركز طبي متخصص لطب الأسنان، في ظل الازدحام الكبير على عيادات الأسنان في مراكز الرعاية الصحية الأولية، مع تجاوز عدد سكان المحافظة والمراكز الإدارية التابعة لها حاجز 150 ألف نسمة، إضافة إلى المصطافين وزوار المحافظة. وأوضح كل من ناصر الحميدي وسعد شايع ومحمد عارف، لـ«عكاظ»، أن آلاف المراجعين ينتظرون توفير مركز متخصص لطب الأسنان أسوة بمحافظات أخرى، إذ تشهد العيادات الحالية ازدحاماً شديداً، فيما يضطر كثيرون لانتظار المواعيد لأسابيع طويلة بسبب محدودية العيادات والإمكانات الطبية المتوفرة. وأضافوا، في حديثهم لـ«عكاظ»، أن نسبة كبيرة من الأهالي تتجه للعلاج خارج المحافظة وفي المستوصفات الخاصة رغم التكلفة العالية التي تثقل كاهل أصحاب الدخل المحدود، مؤكدين أن إنشاء مركز متخصص سيشكل خدمة علاجية مجانية متكاملة، ويخفف معاناة المرضى عبر توفير عيادات تخصصية وإمكانات طبية متقدمة. وفي سياق متصل، جدّد الأهالي مطالبهم بتوفير جهاز الرنين المغناطيسي في مستشفى المحافظة العام، الذي يفتقد لهذا الجهاز منذ افتتاحه قبل عدة سنوات، رغم أهميته في تشخيص أمراض وإصابات الجهاز العضلي الهيكلي، ووضع الخطط العلاجية المناسبة، والكشف عن مشكلات المفاصل وإصابات الأربطة والعضلات والكسور الخفية وهشاشة العظام. وأشاروا إلى أن تحويل المرضى لإجراء الفحوصات في منشآت طبية خارج المحافظة يزيد من معاناتهم، ويؤكد الحاجة الملحّة لتوفير الجهاز داخل المستشفى. The residents of the Governorate of Ahad Rufaida are still waiting for the Ministry of Health to establish a specialized dental center, amid the significant crowding in dental clinics at primary healthcare centers, with the population of the governorate and its affiliated administrative centers exceeding 150,000, in addition to vacationers and visitors to the governorate. Nasser Al-Humaidi, Saad Shayeh, and Mohammed Aref explained to "Okaz" that thousands of patients are waiting for the provision of a specialized dental center, similar to other governorates, as the current clinics are experiencing severe congestion, forcing many to wait for appointments for long weeks due to the limited number of clinics and available medical resources. They added, in their conversation with "Okaz," that a large percentage of residents are seeking treatment outside the governorate and in private clinics despite the high costs that burden low-income individuals, emphasizing that the establishment of a specialized center would provide comprehensive free medical services and alleviate the suffering of patients by providing specialized clinics and advanced medical capabilities. In a related context, the residents renewed their demands for the provision of an MRI machine in the general hospital of the governorate, which has been lacking this device since its opening several years ago, despite its importance in diagnosing musculoskeletal diseases and injuries, developing appropriate treatment plans, and detecting joint problems, ligament and muscle injuries, hidden fractures, and osteoporosis. They pointed out that referring patients for examinations in medical facilities outside the governorate increases their suffering and underscores the urgent need to provide the device within the hospital.
