In more than one journalistic article, I did not escape to another platform, nor did I hide behind flashy words or "filtered" images in search of a refuge to cover the weakness of an argument lacking evidence, or to alleviate an inability to confront directly. Rather, I preferred a clear and honest language, characterized by literary courage, far from rhetorical phrases that "neither nourish nor satisfy hunger." - In more than one article, I was keen to present, at the beginning and the end, important lessons for those who do not understand the difference between journalistic dialogue and press statements. These lessons were not merely rhetorical exercises or academic lectures; rather, I provided a professional dissection of two separate texts published in Okaz newspaper, in which I conclusively proved a journalistic condemnation that leaves no room for doubt, against a journalist who failed miserably to capitalize on a dialogue with a prominent figure, and suffered a painful professional downfall, after he was unable—as usual—to present a complete journalistic piece, despite his long experience in the profession of troubles. - In one of those awareness articles, I did not hesitate to offer him a number of professional observations revolving around the correct journalistic work, foremost among them a well-known media principle that any response or comment should be published on the same media platform where the article was published, so that the recipient does not become "the deaf man at the wedding," unaware of the essence of the issue and unable to follow its details, while the responder chooses to address himself in a closed room, away from the followers of the original article. - This, in my opinion, is the situation that my colleague Ahmed Al-Shamrani has reached; he has transitioned from the character of "Abdul-Mu'ti," the headmaster of the troublemakers' school, to the state embodied by the artist Muhammad Najm in the play "The Nest of the Mad," as he repeats his famous phrase: "Shafiq... oh man!" Every time I read the texts of Abu Muhammad, both written and visual, I feel they reflect a state of incapacity not much different from that comedic image whose echo still resonates: "Shafiq... oh man!". - Yesterday, the colleague appeared again on another platform, commenting on my latest article titled: "Wake up from your slumber... the documents are stronger than the language of threats." Instead of benefiting from the professional lesson I provided him in a previous article, he remains determined to shift us from the Roshan League to the Yellow League, through rhetorical words and a performative style, during which he did not even dare to mention the name of the author of the book. - Here, I find myself compelled to know the reason that prevents him, whether in dialogues or statements attributed to others or responses he adopts, from mentioning the name of the author of the biography of the pioneer of the sports movement, my colleague Saleh Al-Amoudi, and for all of them to possess a degree of literary courage, away from insinuations and threats, so that we can all contribute to enriching the sports and media arena with a civilized dialogue based on clarity and transparency, not on practices that once again make the recipient like "the deaf man at the wedding." - If this reluctance stems from fear of a legal stance that the author of the book might take against anyone who questions its credibility or discusses his work without possessing evidence, then that is a matter that deserves to be stated frankly, rather than being concealed behind insinuations and rhetorical phrases. And God is the guide to the right path, and He is the one to be sought for help.
