تحولت أجواء فعالية جماهيرية في قلب العاصمة الألمانية برلين إلى حالة من الفوضى والذعر، بعدما اقتحمت سيارة حشداً من المشاركين، ما أسفر عن سقوط قتيل وعدد من المصابين، فيما فر المنفذ، لتبدأ السلطات عملية أمنية واسعة لتعقبه.
وأعلنت شرطة برلين، أمس (السبت)، مقتل شخص وإصابة نحو 15 آخرين، بعضهم في حالة حرجة، إثر حادث دهس وقع على هامش فعالية جماهيرية في منطقة تيرغارتن وسط العاصمة الألمانية.
وقال المتحدث باسم شرطة برلين، فلوريان ناث، إن فرق الطوارئ هرعت إلى موقع الحادث فور تلقي البلاغ، حيث جرى إسعاف المصابين ونقلهم إلى المستشفيات لتلقي العلاج.
وأوضحت الشرطة أن المركبة المستخدمة في الحادث عُثر عليها في الموقع، بينما لاذ الشخص أو الأشخاص الذين كانوا على متنها بالفرار، مؤكدة أن عمليات بحث مكثفة لا تزال جارية لتحديد هوياتهم وإلقاء القبض عليهم.
ووفقاً لما أورده موقع دويتشه فيله، وقع الحادث خلال فعالية سنوية في برلين، ما دفع المنظمين إلى إلغاء المسيرة بعد إصابة عدد من المشاركين.
وأكدت شرطة برلين أنها دفعت بأعداد كبيرة من عناصرها، إلى جانب فرق الإنقاذ والإطفاء، لتأمين المنطقة والتعامل مع التداعيات، كما دعت المواطنين إلى تجنب محيط تيرغارتن حتى انتهاء الإجراءات الأمنية.
وتوعد المستشار الألماني بمحاسبة مرتكبي الدهس.
ولم تحدد السلطات حتى الآن ما إذا كان الحادث متعمداً أو ما إذا كانت الفعالية نفسها هي الهدف المقصود، فيما تتواصل التحقيقات لكشف ملابسات الواقعة ودوافعها.

Berlin police spokesperson Florian Nath stated that emergency teams rushed to the scene of the incident as soon as the report was received, where the injured were treated and transported to hospitals for care.
The police clarified that the vehicle involved in the incident was found at the scene, while the person or persons who were inside it fled, confirming that intensive search operations are still ongoing to identify and apprehend them.
According to what was reported by Deutsche Welle, the incident occurred during an annual event in Berlin, prompting the organizers to cancel the march after several participants were injured.
Berlin police confirmed that they deployed a large number of their personnel, along with rescue and firefighting teams, to secure the area and manage the aftermath, and urged citizens to avoid the Tiergarten area until the security measures were completed.
The German Chancellor vowed to hold the perpetrators of the hit-and-run accountable.
