حقق قطاع الثقافة والتراث ضمن برنامج جودة الحياة نتائج نوعية في 2025، تمثلت في تجاوز عدد من المؤشرات الرئيسة لمستهدفاتها، إضافة إلى إطلاق مبادرات إستراتيجية عززت مكانة المملكة الثقافية محلياً ودولياً وأسهمت في تعزيز الاقتصاد الوطني.
مبادرات إستراتيجية
وعلى صعيد المبادرات الإستراتيجية، وتحت رعاية ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، دُشّن مركز الأمير محمد بن سلمان العالمي للخط العربي في المدينة المنورة، بحضور أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة الأمير سلمان بن سلطان، ووزير الثقافة الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان.
ويؤسس المركز منصة عالمية للارتقاء بالخط العربي عبر برامج تشمل المتحف الدائم والمعارض المتنقلة والمنح البحثية وحاضنة الأعمال وبرنامج الإقامة الفنية، مستهدفاً الخطاطين، والمواهب الناشئة، والباحثين، والمؤسسات الثقافية.
متحف البحر الأحمر
كما افتُتح متحف البحر الأحمر في قلب جدة التاريخية، أحد المواقع المدرجة في قائمة التراث العالمي لليونسكو، داخل مبنى باب البنط التاريخي الذي أُعيد ترميمه وفق أعلى معايير الاستدامة البيئية، ويضم المتحف أكثر من ألف قطعة أثرية وفنية تُعرض عبر سبعة محاور في ثلاث وعشرين قاعة، تشمل الخزف الصيني ومباخر العود والمرجان وأدوات الملاحة والخرائط والمخطوطات النادرة، إلى جانب أعمال فنية معاصرة لفنانين سعوديين ودوليين.
نشاط ثقافي
وعلى صعيد المؤشرات، شهد النشاط الثقافي زخمًا لافتًا، إذ بلغ عدد أيام الفعاليات الثقافية 6314 يوماً، متجاوزاً المستهدف البالغ 3010 أيام بفارق كبير، مقارنة بخط أساس بلغ 188 يوماً في 2019.
وارتفع عدد المنشآت الثقافية، التي تشمل المتاحف والمسارح ودور الأوبرا والمكتبات العامة وغيرها، إلى 94 منشأة متجاوزة المستهدف البالغ 87 منشأة.
تأهيل وتوظيف
وعلى صعيد التعليم والتأهيل والتوظيف، بلغ عدد الموظفين في القطاع 282709 موظفين متجاوزاً المستهدف البالغ 247 ألف موظف، فيما بلغ عدد المستفيدين من التدريب المهني في القطاع 4729 مستفيداً مقارنة بمستهدف 4737 مستفيداً، كما بلغ عدد خريجي التعليم العالي والتدريب التقني والمهني في التخصصات الثقافية 29221 خريجاً، متجاوزاً المستهدف البالغ 29078 خريجاً، مقارنة بخط أساس بلغ 28113 خريجاً في 2022.
مؤلفات محلية وتراث وطني
كما ارتفع عدد المؤلفات المحلية من الكتب الورقية والإلكترونية إلى 12879 مؤلفاً، في مؤشر يعكس تطور بيئة الأنشطة الثقافية، وفيما يخص التراث الوطني، وصل عدد مواقع التراث الوطني القابلة للزيارة إلى 232 موقعاً، محققاً كامل المستهدف المحدد لهذا المؤشر.
كما شهد عدد زوار المواقع المدرجة ضمن التراث الوطني ومواقع اليونسكو نمواً كبيراً بلغ 14.10 مليون زائر، متجاوزاً المستهدف البالغ 7.19 ملايين زائر بأكثر من الضعف.
مشاركات سعودية دولية
وعلى المستوى الدولي، بلغ عدد المشاركات السعودية في الفعاليات الثقافية الدولية 71 مشاركة، متجاوزاً المستهدف البالغ 34 مشاركة بأكثر من الضعف، وهو ما يعكس تنامياً ملموساً في حضور الثقافة السعودية على المنصات العالمية الكبرى.
The culture and heritage sector achieved qualitative results within the Quality of Life Program in 2025, represented by surpassing several key indicators of its targets, in addition to launching strategic initiatives that enhanced the Kingdom's cultural status both locally and internationally and contributed to strengthening the national economy.
Strategic Initiatives
In terms of strategic initiatives, under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy was inaugurated in Medina, in the presence of the Governor of Medina Region, Prince Salman bin Sultan, and the Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan.
The center establishes a global platform to elevate Arabic calligraphy through programs that include a permanent museum, traveling exhibitions, research grants, a business incubator, and an artist residency program, targeting calligraphers, emerging talents, researchers, and cultural institutions.
Red Sea Museum
The Red Sea Museum was also opened in the heart of historic Jeddah, one of the sites listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List, within the historic Bab Al-Bont building that has been restored according to the highest standards of environmental sustainability. The museum houses more than a thousand archaeological and artistic pieces displayed across seven themes in twenty-three halls, including Chinese pottery, incense burners, coral, navigation tools, maps, and rare manuscripts, alongside contemporary artworks by Saudi and international artists.
Cultural Activity
In terms of indicators, cultural activity witnessed remarkable momentum, as the number of days of cultural events reached 6,314 days, significantly exceeding the target of 3,010 days, compared to a baseline of 188 days in 2019.
The number of cultural establishments, which include museums, theaters, opera houses, public libraries, and others, rose to 94 establishments, surpassing the target of 87 establishments.
Qualification and Employment
Regarding education, qualification, and employment, the number of employees in the sector reached 282,709, exceeding the target of 247,000 employees. The number of beneficiaries of vocational training in the sector was 4,729, compared to a target of 4,737 beneficiaries. Additionally, the number of graduates from higher education and technical and vocational training in cultural disciplines reached 29,221 graduates, surpassing the target of 29,078 graduates, compared to a baseline of 28,113 graduates in 2022.
Local Publications and National Heritage
The number of local publications, including printed and electronic books, rose to 12,879 publications, reflecting the development of the cultural activities environment. Regarding national heritage, the number of visitable national heritage sites reached 232 sites, achieving the full target set for this indicator.
The number of visitors to the sites listed under national heritage and UNESCO sites also saw significant growth, reaching 14.10 million visitors, more than doubling the target of 7.19 million visitors.
International Saudi Participation
At the international level, the number of Saudi participations in international cultural events reached 71 participations, exceeding the target of 34 participations by more than double, reflecting a tangible growth in the presence of Saudi culture on major global platforms.
