اعتذر مهاجم آرسنال، غابرييل مارتينيلي، لظهير ليفربول الأيمن المصاب كونور برادلي، بعد محاولة دفعه خارج الملعب قرب نهاية المباراة التي جمعت الفريقين في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، وانتهت بالتعادل السلبي.

سقط برادلي بطريقة غريبة بالقرب من خط التماس في الوقت بدل الضائع، ومن الواضح أن مارتينيلي اعتقد أنه كان يضيع الوقت؛ إذ ألقى الكرة عليه قبل أن ‍يحاول دفعه إلى خارج الملعب.

واستشاط لاعبو ⁠ليفربول غضباً قبل أن تحدث مشاجرة بين لاعبي الفريقين، وأنذر الحكم مارتينيلي ولاعب ليفربول إبراهيما كوناتي.

وفي نهاية المطاف خرج الظهير الإيرلندي الشمالي برادلي من الملعب على نقالة، وهو في حالة يرثى لها.

وكتب مارتينيلي على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي: «تواصلت مع كونور واعتذرت له بالفعل، لم ​أكن أدرك حقاً في لحظة انفعال أنه تعرض لإصابة خطيرة» طبقا لما نقلته «رويترز».

وأضاف: «أود أن أقول إنني آسف للغاية على رد فعلي، وأتمنى لكونور الشفاء العاجل».

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli apologized to injured Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley after attempting to push him off the pitch near the end of the match between the two teams in the Premier League, which ended in a goalless draw.

Bradley fell in a strange manner near the touchline during stoppage time, and it was clear that Martinelli thought he was wasting time; he threw the ball at him before attempting to push him off the field.

Liverpool players were furious before a scuffle broke out between players from both teams, and the referee cautioned Martinelli and Liverpool's Ibrahima Konaté.

Ultimately, the Northern Irish full-back Bradley was carried off the pitch on a stretcher, in a pitiable condition.

Martinelli wrote on social media: "I reached out to Conor and have already apologized to him, I really didn't realize in the moment of excitement that he had sustained a serious injury," according to reports from Reuters.

He added: "I would like to say that I am very sorry for my reaction, and I wish Conor a speedy recovery."
