بمناسبة مرور 1,000 يوم على حرب السودان، أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الألمانية أنها تخطط لاستضافة مؤتمر خلال الربيع يهدف لجمع مساعدات طارئة لمواجهة الأزمة الإنسانية المتفاقمة.
وقالت ناطقة باسم وزارة الخارجية الألمانية، اليوم الجمعة: «يحيي اليوم العالم تاريخاً حزيناً: ألف يوم على الحرب في السودان.. ما زال العديد من الناس يعانون ويموتون هناك، إنهم ضحايا الجوع والعطش والنزوح والاغتصاب». وأضافت بأن مؤتمراً سيعقد لمناسبة ذكرى اندلاع الحرب في 2023 في أبريل.
وأفادت المتحدثة بأن أكبر أزمة إنسانية في العالم زجّت بالفعل بملايين المدنيين في الفقر وأدت إلى مقتل عشرات الآلاف. وأكدت أن ألمانيا تبذل كل ما في وسعها، سياسياً وإنسانياً، لمساعدة الناس على الأرض ولوضع حد للقتال.
يذكر أن مؤتمرات عدة عقدت لتقديم مساعدات للسودان في باريس عام 2024 وفي لندن عام 2025.
وفشلت الدعوات الدولية لوقف إطلاق النار حتى الآن في وضع حد للقتال بين قوات الجيش والدعم السريع المتهمة بارتكاب الإبادة في دارفور.
من جانبه، حذّر برنامج الأغذية العالمي التابع للأمم المتحدة، الجمعة، من تفاقم أزمة الجوع في السودان، بعد مرور 1,000 يوم على اندلاع الحرب، إذ يواجه أكثر من 21 مليون شخص الجوع الشديد.
وقال البرنامج الأممي في بيان، إنه يقدم مساعدات إنسانية لنحو 4 ملايين شخص شهرياً، رغم محدودية الموارد، مؤكداً حاجته العاجلة إلى تمويل إنساني وممرات آمنة لضمان إيصال المساعدات إلى المتضررين، متوقعاً تفاقم الجوع اعتباراً من فبراير 2026 مع نفاد مخزونات الغذاء واستمرار القتال.
ودعا البرنامج ووكالات الأمم المتحدة الشريكة، إلى إنهاء الأعمال العدائية وإتاحة وصول المساعدات الإنسانية بشكل آمن ودون عوائق ومستمر، مشدداً على ضرورة ذلك لمنع المزيد من الخسائر في الأرواح، وحماية سبل العيش.
وأوضح أن الفجوة الكبيرة بين الحاجات الإنسانية والموارد المتاحة تزيد من هذه التحديات الهائلة، إذ حُرم الملايين من المساعدات المُنقذة للحياة، مع اضطرار برنامج الأغذية العالمي إلى إعطاء الأولوية للأشخاص الذين يعانون من أشد مستويات الجوع، مشدداً على حاجته إلى 662 مليون دولار إضافية للوصول إلى 8 ملايين شخص شهرياً.
On the occasion of the 1,000-day mark of the war in Sudan, the German Foreign Ministry announced that it plans to host a conference in the spring aimed at gathering emergency aid to address the worsening humanitarian crisis.
A spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry said today, Friday: "Today, the world commemorates a sad date: one thousand days of war in Sudan. Many people are still suffering and dying there; they are victims of hunger, thirst, displacement, and rape." She added that a conference will be held to mark the anniversary of the outbreak of the war in April 2023.
The spokesperson reported that the world's largest humanitarian crisis has already plunged millions of civilians into poverty and led to the deaths of tens of thousands. She affirmed that Germany is doing everything it can, politically and humanitarianly, to help people on the ground and to put an end to the fighting.
It is worth noting that several conferences have been held to provide aid to Sudan in Paris in 2024 and in London in 2025.
International calls for a ceasefire have so far failed to put an end to the fighting between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which are accused of committing genocide in Darfur.
For its part, the United Nations World Food Programme warned on Friday of the worsening hunger crisis in Sudan, after 1,000 days since the outbreak of the war, as more than 21 million people face severe hunger.
The UN program stated in a statement that it provides humanitarian assistance to about 4 million people monthly, despite limited resources, emphasizing its urgent need for humanitarian funding and safe corridors to ensure the delivery of aid to those affected, anticipating a worsening of hunger starting February 2026 as food stocks run out and fighting continues.
The program and partner UN agencies called for an end to hostilities and for humanitarian aid to be delivered safely, unobstructed, and continuously, stressing the necessity of this to prevent further loss of life and to protect livelihoods.
It clarified that the significant gap between humanitarian needs and available resources exacerbates these enormous challenges, as millions have been deprived of life-saving assistance, with the World Food Programme having to prioritize those suffering from the most severe levels of hunger, emphasizing its need for an additional $662 million to reach 8 million people monthly.
