استلهم مسلسل «مأمور الثلاجة» قصته من تجربة واقعية لشاعر سعودي عمل سنوات في ثلاجة الموتى، ليقدّم معالجة درامية إنسانية تكشف تفاصيل يومية استثنائية عاشها بين الحزن والمواساة والذاكرة الثقيلة للمكان.
ويستند العمل إلى مذكرات الشاعر السعودي سعد زبن الخلاوي، الذي وثّق تجربته العملية في ثلاجة الموتى بمستشفى القيصومة التابع لمحافظة حفر الباطن، حيث تعامل يوميًا مع ذوي المتوفين، في مشهد إنساني معقّد يجمع بين الألم ومحاولات التخفيف والمساندة النفسية. وتحوّلت هذه اليوميات إلى نص درامي يعكس جانبًا خفيًا من الحياة المهنية المرتبطة بالموت، بعيدًا عن الصورة النمطية الجامدة.
ويقدّم المسلسل سردًا دراميًا يعتمد على التوتر النفسي والبعد الإنساني، من خلال إبراز العلاقة بين «مأمور الثلاجة» وأسر المتوفين، وكيف يتحوّل الموظف من مجرد منفّذ إجراءات رسمية إلى عنصر دعم معنوي في لحظات الفقد، وهو ما شكّل محورًا رئيسيًا في بناء الأحداث وتطوّر الشخصيات.
العمل من إنتاج شركة «إندبندنس»، وتأليف وإشراف عام بندر طلال السعيد، ويشارك في بطولته نخبة من نجوم الدراما الكويتية والخليجية، من بينهم خالد أمين، محمد جابر، جمال الردهان، أسمهان توفيق، عبدالناصر الزاير وشبنم خان.
وتعود جذور القصة إلى تغطية سابقة نشرتها «عكاظ» عام 2016 عن تجربة الخلاوي، التي أثارت اهتمامًا واسعًا آنذاك بسبب طبيعتها الإنسانية غير المألوفة، حيث عُرف بابتسامته وروحه المرحة رغم قسوة بيئة العمل، قبل انتقاله لاحقًا إلى وظيفة أخرى، بعد سنوات قضاها في مواجهة يومية مع الفقد.
The series "Refrigerator Officer" is inspired by the real-life experience of a Saudi poet who worked for years in a morgue, presenting a human dramatic treatment that reveals the extraordinary daily details he lived between sadness, consolation, and the heavy memory of the place.
The work is based on the memoirs of the Saudi poet Saad Zabin Al-Khalawi, who documented his practical experience in the morgue of Al-Qaisumah Hospital in the Al-Hafr Al-Batin province, where he dealt daily with the families of the deceased, in a complex human scene that combines pain with attempts at alleviation and psychological support. These diaries transformed into a dramatic text that reflects a hidden aspect of the professional life associated with death, far from the rigid stereotypical image.
The series presents a dramatic narrative that relies on psychological tension and the human dimension, by highlighting the relationship between the "Refrigerator Officer" and the families of the deceased, and how the employee transforms from merely executing official procedures to a source of moral support in moments of loss, which became a central theme in the construction of events and the development of characters.
The work is produced by "Independence" Company, with writing and general supervision by Bandar Talal Al-Saeed, and features a cast of elite stars from Kuwaiti and Gulf drama, including Khaled Amin, Mohammed Jaber, Jamal Al-Radhan, Asmahan Tawfiq, Abdul Nasser Al-Zayer, and Shabnam Khan.
The roots of the story trace back to a previous coverage published by "Okaz" in 2016 about Al-Khalawi's experience, which garnered wide interest at the time due to its unusual human nature, as he was known for his smile and cheerful spirit despite the harshness of the work environment, before later moving to another job after years spent facing daily loss.
