أعلنت الفرقة العسكريّة الرابعة مشاة التابعة للجيش السوداني بإقليم النيل الأزرق وصول تعزيزات عسكرية من قيادة سلاح المظلات بالخرطوم إلى مقر الفرقة بمدينة الدمازين.
وأفادت الفرقة في منشور على «فيسبوك»، اليوم (الأحد)، بأن كتيبة المظلات سيتم الدفع بها إلى خطوط الدفاع الأمامية للعمل على تحييد التهديدات وتعزيز الموقف العملياتي.
وقال قائد الفرقة اللواء إسماعيل الطيب: «إن وصول الكتيبة يشكل إضافة نوعية للقوات المرابطة لما تتمتع به من جاهزية عالية وخبرات قتالية متقدمة».
وشهد إقليم النيل الأزرق خلال الأيام الماضية تطورات عسكرية وأمنية متلاحقة بعد عدة معارك وقعت بين الجيش والدعم السريع المسنود بقوات الحركة الشعبية في مناطق متفرقة في الإقليم.
ويُعد إقليم النيل الأزرق من المناطق ذات الحساسية الأمنية العالية في السودان، نظراً إلى موقعه الحدودي مع جنوب السودان، وتداخله الجغرافي مع مناطق تشهد نشاطاً لمجموعات مسلحة.
وشهد الإقليم خلال فترات متقطعة مواجهات عسكرية وتوترات أمنية بين القوات الحكومية ومجموعات مسلحة، سواء على خلفيات مرتبطة بالصراع الداخلي في السودان أو بسبب امتدادات أمنية من مناطق حدودية مجاورة.
وتتركز الاشتباكات في المناطق الريفية والنائية، حيث يصعب ضبط التحركات العسكرية.
ويشهد الوضع في النيل الأزرق حالات كرّ وفرّ وإعادة تموضع للقوات المتقاتلة، في ظل استمرار العمليات العسكرية، مع تحذيرات متكررة من انعكاسات المواجهات على الاستقرار الأمني والأوضاع الإنسانية في المناطق القريبة من خطوط القتال.
The Fourth Infantry Division of the Sudanese Army in the Blue Nile region announced the arrival of military reinforcements from the Airborne Forces Command in Khartoum to the division's headquarters in the city of Damazin.
The division reported in a post on "Facebook" today (Sunday) that the Airborne Battalion will be deployed to the front lines to work on neutralizing threats and enhancing the operational situation.
Division Commander Major General Ismail Al-Tayeb stated: "The arrival of the battalion represents a qualitative addition to the stationed forces due to its high readiness and advanced combat experience."
The Blue Nile region has witnessed successive military and security developments in recent days following several battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces backed by the Popular Movement in various areas of the region.
The Blue Nile region is considered one of the areas with high security sensitivity in Sudan, due to its border location with South Sudan and its geographical overlap with areas experiencing activity from armed groups.
The region has intermittently experienced military confrontations and security tensions between government forces and armed groups, whether related to the internal conflict in Sudan or due to security spillovers from neighboring border areas.
The clashes are concentrated in rural and remote areas, where it is difficult to control military movements.
The situation in the Blue Nile is marked by cycles of advance and retreat and repositioning of the fighting forces, amid ongoing military operations, with repeated warnings about the repercussions of the confrontations on security stability and humanitarian conditions in areas close to the combat lines.
