تأهل فريق «سلام الجامعة» من جدة إلى دور الـ4 في بطولة «جدة 2026» لكرة القدم، بعد الفوز بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة (6-5) على حساب فريق «أكاديمية نور» من مكة المكرمة، بعد تعادل الفريقين (1-1) في الأشواط الأصلية، ضمن لقاءات اليوم الأول من منافسات دور الـ8، التي أقيمت على ملعب القرية الأولمبية.
وشهدت المباراة حذراً مبالغاً فيه من الطرفين، قبل أن تشتعل في آخر 5 دقائق حين سجل الجامعة الهدف الأول، ثم نجح «نور» في التعادل في الوقت بدل الضائع.
وأكد «الجامعة» تفوقه من جديد على حساب «نور»، حيث كان الفريقان قد التقيا في افتتاح مباريات المجموعة (F)، انتصر الأول وقتها بنتيجة (1-0) في صدارة المجموعة بـ6 نقاط، بينما حل «نور» وصيفاً بـ3 نقاط.
يُذكر أن فريق «الجامعة» سيواجه في دور الـ4 فريق «شرطة محافظة جدة»، الذي فاز بركلات الترجيح على «الحرس الوطني» بالقطاع الغربي، وذلك يوم الجمعة القادم، الموافق 27 فبراير، على الملعب الرديف بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، في أول صدام مرتقب يجمع بين فرق الجهات الحكومية وفرق الهواة المشاركة في البطولة.
The "University Salam" team from Jeddah has qualified for the quarter-finals in the "Jeddah 2026" football tournament, after winning on penalties with a score of (6-5) against the "Noor Academy" team from Mecca, following a 1-1 draw in the original time, during the first day of the round of 8 matches held at the Olympic Village Stadium.
The match witnessed excessive caution from both sides, before it ignited in the last 5 minutes when the university scored the first goal, and then "Noor" managed to equalize in stoppage time.
"University" confirmed its superiority once again over "Noor," as the two teams had met in the opening matches of group (F), where the former won at that time with a score of (1-0), topping the group with 6 points, while "Noor" finished as the runner-up with 3 points.
It is worth mentioning that the "University" team will face the "Jeddah Governorate Police" team in the quarter-finals, which won on penalties against the "National Guard" in the western sector, on the upcoming Friday, February 27, at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, in the first anticipated clash between government teams and amateur teams participating in the tournament.
