تتابع وزارة الخارجية المصرية، حادثة غرق مركب هجرة غير شرعية كان متوجها إلى اليونان يوم 21ف فبراير الجاري، وعلى متنه 50 شخصا من المهاجرين غير الشرعيين من بينهم 21 مصرياً 18 منهم ما زالوا في عتاد المفقودين، و3 لقوا حتفهم.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن الخارجية المصرية، اليوم (الأربعاء) وجه الوزير بدر عبد العاطي السفارة المصرية في أثينا لتكثيف اتصالاتها مع كافة السلطات اليونانية المعنية لمتابعة تداعيات الحادثة، وجهود انتشال المفقودين، وكذلك سرعة إنهاء كافة الإجراءات اللازمة لإعادة جثامين المتوفين إلى مصر.
وتواصل السفارة المصرية في أثينا استقبال أسر وأقارب المتوفين لترتيب وإنهاء الإجراءات اللازمة لنقل الجثامين إلى أرض الوطن في أقرب فرصة ممكنة.
وأهابت الوزارة مجدداً بالمواطنين توخي أقصى درجات الحيطة والحذر، وعدم الانسياق وراء عصابات الهجرة غير الشرعية، والابتعاد تماماً عن السفر عبر الطرق غير القانونية مهما كانت الدوافع، وذلك حفاظا على سلامتهم.
وتقدمت بخالص التعازي والمواساة لأسر ضحايا الحادث الأليم.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following up on the incident of a boat capsizing during an illegal migration attempt headed to Greece on February 21, carrying 50 people among the illegal migrants, including 21 Egyptians, 18 of whom are still unaccounted for, and 3 have lost their lives.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry today (Wednesday), Minister Badr Abdel Atty directed the Egyptian embassy in Athens to intensify its communications with all relevant Greek authorities to follow up on the aftermath of the incident, the efforts to recover the missing, and to expedite all necessary procedures for repatriating the bodies of the deceased to Egypt.
The Egyptian embassy in Athens continues to receive the families and relatives of the deceased to arrange and finalize the necessary procedures for transporting the bodies back to the homeland at the earliest possible opportunity.
The ministry once again urged citizens to exercise the utmost caution and avoid falling prey to illegal migration gangs, and to completely refrain from traveling through illegal routes regardless of the motivations, in order to ensure their safety.
It extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of this tragic incident.
